From the HOF site...

"Criteria include the influence and significance of the artistsí contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll."

By that measure, there's an awful lot of performers that should be included. Are there a limited number of slots for nominees?

As for KISS, regardless of what opinions we all might hold about their talent (or lack of), I think it can be argued that they were a major influence on the hard rock scene.

For some reason Gene Simmons reminds me of Krusty the Klown from the Simpsons.

It is appaling that neither Kiss nor Alice Cooper are in the Hall of Fame, but a band like the PRETENDERS are!! No way!!

Exactly!! Chrissie Hynde is cool, but how many bands have Kiss and Alice Cooper influenced?- zillions! How many has she influenced -a hell of a lot less!
