Romney is a Republican more akin to Clinton than Reagan. He was the Governor of a deep, deep, blue state. His conservative Creds are going to be a little suspect.

Sorry, it's no longer wise to travel to Egypt, thanks to Oblunder helping the Muslim Brotherhood take over.

believe it or not, the protestors acted on their own and Obama is NOT the leader of the planet, just a portion of a continent.
.
(your implication that the overthrowing of oppressive governments is a bad thing is a little naive)

Even that is questionable.

And what do you call overthrowing of an oppressive government to install another oppressive government?

it's not questionable, Obama is the POTUS, not the ruler of the planet, the fact that he was in office during these uprising in the middle east is coincidental, the POTUS is a temporary position, not anything more, and based on the kind of stress he is surely under, somehow I don't think he's being paid enough, Bush was right to give the office a raise.
-
overthrowing an oppressive government for another oppressive government is progress; now that the people know that they actually CAN do something about the government, it makes all the difference. They'll get it right eventually.
A government should fear the people, people should not fear their government.

BTW, Bush didn't give the office a pay raise.

I find it very hard to believe that the GOP cannot come up with a viable candidate.
which just proves that they don't really want it.

McCain had a chance in 2008, and when things were looking good for him, the GOP picks Palin as his VP?!?!?!?!? they threw in the towel on that one.
And now, looking ahead to the 2012 election, all they can offer is a racist and a mormon?
Really?
There are plenty of good GOP choices out there, but none of them want any part of the presidency, because they KNOW it's a sh!t job, and that when you win, you have to take the heat for decades of mistakes and bad laws.
.
Who are the good GOP choices? And why are they Republicans?

'Tis a shame the Dem's are stuck with Obama.
The GOP has so many options, they can't decide which to select!
Romney's in a virtual tie with Obama in current polls and trending steeply higher, while Obama is trending down.
Same thing with Ron Paul.
Rick Perry is behind Obama in current polls but not by much.
Cain's race is too new to tell for sure, but early indications are that he'd whoop Obama, too.
Of course, Christie turned the job down even though hs also was ahead of Obama in the polls.
Obama better keep Rahm's phone number handy. It looks like he'll need it for a job reference pretty soon. Or do you think Obama can buy his Senator's seat back?
How's the shopping there on the moon?

Whichever clown the GOP nominates, Obama will blow him or her (or it) out of the water.
