Joe has as much chance of becoming NYC mayor as the Wasilla Quitta does being invited to join MENSA.

In NY, the dem ticket is always packed full and that is where the fight for the election usually lies; in the nomiation. There has been a long strategy to get the nomiation on the repub ticket as it is a much less crowded playing field, then fight it out with the dem nomiation. I believe Bloomberg was elected the same way; GOP nomiation, wins general election, drops GOP.

“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.”

“Nominate the most conservative candidate who is electable.”
--William F. Buckley, Jr.

I'd hate to live in NY and have to make this choice, but given the others, I'd vote for Lhota.

Be great to see some fiscal responsibility come to NYC -- it's success would be a model to spread to other big cities around the country.

btw, Bloomberg was a lifelong Democrat who ran as a Republican.

yes those tax cuts that were being pushed at "nuetral" cuts. Then years later the repubs finally admited that they were not "nuetral" and cost the USA trillions o dollars.

Then Obama's dumbass decided to make some of them perminant furthering the issue.

Pretty sure we could have all done without those and be in a lot better shape as a country today.
