The big difference for me in to be in a air conditioned arena, Get Motivated was in a tent, not my style or class. Not go to sit in a tent and have the ants crawl over my feet.

I saw the speakers roster on one of the full page ads (that the Dispatch is making at least $25,000 a pop on) and noticed the name of the lady who founded Komen race for the Cure. For the first 3 or 4 versions that little race doo-hickey logo was positioned right under her picture and next to her name. Unnecessary I would say.

The thing that really stinks about that woman's organization is the fact the well meaning organizations that raise funds for cancer that use "<fill in the blank type of event> FOR THE CURE" are hounded and harrassed with "cease and desist" notices from Komen hatchetmen lawyers. I read this in a national business newspaper --not the Cols Dispatch. Imagine that! Lol!

What is the purpose of these expensive seminars--to get people "fired up" for some vague period of time or to sell gullible people "products and services"? I'd like to more fully understand the business model that would cover all the overhead (speakers' fees, auditorium rental, travel expenses, and advertising) and still make a profit.
They must be selling expensive products and expensive "services."
Thoughtless people will spend a small fee for the privilege of spending a
great amount of money on these vague "products" and "services." (CD recordings of the marvelous speeches?)
And shame on Jim Tressel for participating.
Yeah thats right! For me,sometimes seminars are useless specially if the speakers are not that good when it come to giving advice on seminars.Professi onal Development for Teachers
