News The Latest: The new alternative facts: 'Truth isn't truth'
President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani used the line Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd. Giuliani was trying to make the case that having Trump sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's team wouldn't accomplish much because of the he-said-she-said nature of witnesses' recollections.

Rump wouldn’t be able to keep his shit together for 2mins under direct questioning, and would hissy-fit and perjure himself into a lifetime in Leavenworth within 5.
Rump won’t be questioned until after the new Congress is seated in January.

The type and intense level of toxicity and normalized, alternate facts in today's political climate is a breeding ground for fascism. Most people in a fully democratic Germany in the early 1930's didn't think that by decade's end they'd be a fully fascist country. History just may look back on the 2016 American election in the same way.

Trump wouldn't last 2 minutes without Mueller turning the Russian investigation into an inquisition on Trump's private life. We got it. Trump was not groomed to be president.
....and all those who were groomed can go straight to hell!

The have to interview Trump. They have nothing on him. They need to keep this fake investigation going beyond the mid-terms to fool all the idiot democrats, into thinking, there “might” be something!

Even you cannot defend “truth isn’t truth”. So instead you use another slogan that is as twisted.
Saying,“They have nothing on him” is an attempt at redefining truth.
If you are upset about the money that Mueller is spending on this investigation, that is probably the only thing upon which we can agree.
The cameras and recordings of Trump’s own words when he fired Comey is enough evidence.
The fact that so much more evidence is needed for this GOP to realize they are supporting a rotten egg in the White House is a sad waste of time and money.
Trump will drag the GOP party down because the GOP has forgotten it was supposed to be the party of family values and fiscal responsibility.
I never believed it really was, but this inability to go up against a President that is the antithesis to that GOP mantra, is more proof that the GOP is indeed the antithesis of their own slogans.
So very Orwellian.
Never will be a Republican.

Take another analogy.
You suspect someone has embezzled money from a company.
You ask to see the company’s books.
The suspect burns the books.
They may have prevented you from learning the details, but they told you all you need to know. They’re guilty.
Trump is guilty.
Why there’s such resistance to this reality is an interesting question.
The best guess is that it is too disquieting a reality to grapple with.
Someone who has deliberately betrayed his country, and who is compromised by and under the thumb of a foreign despot clearly should not be President.
But his supporters don’t accept that.
And as long as they don’t, there’s no path to removing him from power prior to 2020, and maybe even beyond.
That means that for the present we are locked in a situation in which we must operate in a system in which the person with the most power is working for a foreign adversary, whether out of avarice or fear.
That is a profoundly uncomfortable reality.

Really? And would you genius know that?

If you listened to the entire interview, as I did, you would see that this report is fake news.
What he was saying, is that if Trump testified, and someone else had a different story, and lied, that Trump might be charged with perjury, because the investigators would believe the lier, instead of Trump.

We are locked into nothing because nothing is set in stone regarding our laws or constitution.
Trump has simply copied the tactics used by religious extremists for generations. If evidence doesn't fit their dogmatic delusional worldview they ignore it and divert attention by accusing opponents of having the very faults they project. Religion is the original fake news and the root of fascism.

The truth doesn’t care what you believe or what you think. There is always one thing we can count on with right-wingers, the opinions. They mostly come from ignorant people that read information about a topic on the Internet that fits their fantasy bubble. Most of the statements are their understanding of what they have read on a website or hear on wing-nuts radio. The believing isn’t what makes science true or not, it’s that there is evidence that supports it. Right wingers live or die by talking points . . .
