Do you still remember about Gorbachev? The Russians sent him to the dustbin of history long ago as the enemy of the Russian people.

Magical stroke by the Juarez community. Invite the former leader of Russia to visit the war torn city...have an "incident" where he and his travelers are wiped out....and then have the Russian army invade Juarez and wipe out the cartel and corrupt Mexican troops.....

Maquila owners and other organizers are willing to spend millions of dollars in this event, but aren't able to provide the Juarez people decent job salaries.

I don't think Maquila workers enjoy riding to work on a 1973 school bus everyday...makes them easy to recruit with the cartels don't you think?

food for thought...

The Russian mafia and the mexican cartels get together and play some quarters with vodka and tequila? Maybe goin to try to sell off some of those leftover weapons from the cold war that he's got stashed? Let's have fun just guessing what the old ruskie is up to now.

This guy is courageous; he has stones the size of bowling balls (for what he pulled off in the former Soviet Union). Hope he inspires the Mexican's to overcome their terrible plight, and literal horror.

Good luck Juarez! Git dem 'stard murderers!! Don't give in and let them intimidate you - you are a fine people.

Why in the hell would the Mexican mafia want to buy leftover Cold War weapons when they can buy brand new from their neighbors across the border? Like the ones the mayor, sheriff, and city council of Columbus, New Mexico were selling to them.

It is a matter of time before the police take back the streets, and when they do it is going to get real ugly for the bad guys. They need the old school Mexican Federales, they use to hit with the element of surprise and they would hit, pull, bang, knock teeth out first, and kick you in the huevos to keep fear in the criminals.

Great!

Two questions:

1. What instrument does Bill Gates play? I hope he don't sing.

2. Is Raisa coming? If not, watch out girls!

A "peace concert" is going to do absolutley nothing to stop the violence in mejico. What a bunch of fools thinking some concert is going to help with the culturally ingrained corruption of a nation. The problem is that many of mejicos citizens are part of the problem, getting payouts, money to launder, and the list goes on. The only way mejico will see peace is when one or two cartels are in control of the drug trade.
