I love the show but I think that the Andy Millman character in both the finale of the second season and in the show's finale described in the article wasn't as balanced as he could have been. His self-centered focus on achieving fame and his related ennui during which he treats his only real friend and female companion Ashley Jensen with nothing less than pure callous cruelty was a bit over the top. I think there could have been more soul and decency throughout the episode to make his epiphany and redemption more believable.
