Timothy Wright, famed NY gospel singer, dies at 61

The Rev. Timothy Wright, the Grammy-nominated gospel singer and composer known for his up-tempo praise songs and powerful mass choir sound, has died.

I am sad to hear of Rev. Wright's passing. I know he is with the Lord, his wife, and his grandson. I pray God gives his family peace, comfort, and strength. Rev. Wright is in a far better place than we are. Don't get so caught up in the affairs of this life. I just found out about the passing of Brother Wright. God bless his soul. I know he must have felt sad when he heard that his wife and grandson died, but at least his soul is now home, living in eternal peace with the Lord.

For anyone to leave this world before time isn't God's will. For he come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Our adversary, satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Sometimes things just happen in life without divine or demonic intervention. This is why we all must be ready at all times because we don't know when I tiem will be up. Rev Wright and Betty were close personal friends of mine I was one of the Original members of the Timothy Wright Concert Chior form 1976-1987 until i relocated to Florida , i was the Chior Nurse and accompanied Rev. Wright Tim as I called him on serveral preaching engaements back in the day, i feel this lost very deeply like i lost a Brother and Sister, but the Bibl says to Be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So To Danny, david, Donnie Derrick and Dwayne, hold up you ehead up high and never let the Legacy die your parents were great people and the legacy shall live on forever they touch so many lives I remember when Tim worked as a elevator Operated down on Broadway and came home and told Betty he quit his job cause God told him he had work to do and he did just what God told him to do with your mohter right by his side, and it paid off. So always stay proud of the lives they live. cause a song said Let the works I done speak for me, and it is SPEAKING LOUD AND CLEAR!!!!!!!!
