Review: Other performers pale in comparison to Brad Paisley

There are 24 comments on the Star Tribune story from Aug 24, 2007, titled Review: Other performers pale in comparison to Brad Paisley. In it, Star Tribune reports that:

“I'm so obnoxiously excited about it.”

I don't even need to wait to hear the nominations in a few days. I don't even need to wait to see Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban in concert later this fall. via Star Tribune

If you haven't seen Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban's concerts, how can you know if their shows are not just as good or better than Brad Paisley's? I like Brad too, but that statement is just silly and makes you appear bias.

Well, guys I have seen all three acts..Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley at Fan Fair this past June in Nashville AND Keith 6 times.........and I can honestly say that first of all Rascal Flatts are kinda 'flat' onstage as far as charisma, etc. They saved Brad for the last nite, last act, and he was very good, but nothing compared to the energy and musical genius that emits from Keith Urban's beautiful mouth! Yes, I AM biased, but no Brad Paisley does not deserve Entertainer of the Year.....gotta be Keith, but unfortunately, will probably be Kenny Chesney, who continues to win that award, and who also puts on a great show. But just wish for once the reviewer would actually see the acts before judging.....what do y'all say about that!!???? Have a great weekend KL...try not to spend all your time on youtube - lol - and welcome Joyce! Rita, and the sun is definitely shining in Tennessee..........

Sat with several people at Atlanta Keith Urban concert 6/30.. all had been to see Tim and Faith, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts- ALL were totally blown away at Keith's concert.
I asked them whose was best- they shook their heads and said no way were any of the others as good as Keith's- good, but no where near Keith!
made me feel proud for Keith- yes I am biased but hey- I listen to what people say..
if you havent seen all of them then you have no right to compare. Besides, they are all good-
they are great artists .. but Keith's concert this year bows them all away according to concert go'ers who have seen them all!
Sun shining here too rita- its hot hot hot!!!
HUGS!!!!

Hi there my forum friends so far away from me ...

In a recent interview Keith Urban was speaking about his music and his ability and he actually praised Brad Paisley as being the best guitarist in country music ...

Although the interviewer did seem a little amused about Keith saying that considering Keith is reknowned for his own guitar playing ...

I haven't seen others in concert, so I won't compare until I do ... So, until then I'll just be my biased old self and stay "true blue" to Keith ...

Colleen ... Have a great weekend my friends xo
PS: Mine started off just fine my footy team MELBOURNE STORM came in winner last night ... Minor Premiers of the National Rugby League - 2 years in a row ... Now for the finals and maybe this year they can take out the GRAND FINAL ...

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've only seen Keith live once in Chicago and I really had a great time. People are always praising him for his showmanship or guitar skills but he should also be praised just as much for his great singing. He has an awesome voice. I haven't seen his new show, which I hear is incredible. I hope he brings his tour to Chicago and I would definitely go see him. I haven't seen Brad Paisley or Rascal Flatts. A few people I know did see Brad Paisley and they told me they were a little underwhelmed. But everyone has their opinion on who's the best entertainer. No one is really right or wrong. I also think it's Keith's year to win Entertainer of the Year. I think his peers want to honor him from rising back after the tough start to the year he had (rehab).

I find it absolutely ridiculous that you would make that kind of statement.......You obviously NEED TO SEE KEITH IN CONCERT....he blows Brad away. No one can compare to Keith Urban.....He is the obvious choice for Entertainer of the Year. He is a true entertainer.....always giving his all and making sure that EACH fan feels important. Yes I am a little biased......I did get the opportunity to meet Keith this year...and he is a wonderful man.......he made each of us feel special.....he truly cares about the fans. I really hope the Bald Turtle doesn't win Entertainer of the Year again.....because he definitely does not deserve it.

Hi Joyce and Molly,

Thanks for your comments and of course undoubtedly your support of Keith Urban ...

I must agree with you Joyce ...

Keith Urban does have a wonderful voice and what seems most amazing to me that he sounds better in concert than on his cd's ... So wonderful for his fans and of couse Keith himself, that excepting for Manchester UK, his performances have been getting rave reviews ...

I certainly hope Keith makes his way to Chicago, just for you ...

Molly,

You are right about Keith being a true entertainer, almost comes natural to some who have that special gift and connection to their audiences ... And Keith so enjoys the whole concert experience and it is certainly a joy to be right there with him ...

Having the time of our lives ...

Keith Urban is also very gracious where awards are concerned and ever so humbled to be just included and there to share the bright lights with his peers and fans alike ...

MUSIC is what Keith Urban is all about and his music and his successful career is what I'm here for ...

I can't believe what a very bias statement was made. I've never seen Rascal Flatts or Brad Paisley. I don't doubt they are good and talented, but to say Brad is a much better performer and more entartaining than Keith Urban is rediculous!!! I have seen many, many concerts over the past 20 years of very big name acts and hands down Keith Urban gives the most exciting, entertaining show, and truly connects with his fans! I went to 3 concerts of his. He should get entertainer of the year because Keith Urban deserves it. This guy who wrote this has not done his homework and needs to go to a KU concert asap.

Love all your postings. I have not seen Rasical Flat or Brad P in concert but I have seen Keith Urban. I like the others music but in my opinon they don't touch KU's. He is such a neat guy. So down to earth and very humble about what he does... I think he should get entertainer of the year. However Kenny really puts on a good show. This year is Keith Urban's time!!...much love

I think it would be well deserved- I do agree with you Colleen and Windy..
He has certainly put his heart and soul into every performance.... and interestingly enough, in the BSE's, he usually plays " God's Been Good To Me".... speaks volumes there as well.
Hope all are having a great week!!!!!!!

How in the world do these guys get nominated for anything - much less Entertainer of the Year?!?! The lead singer has a whiney thin voice that can barely carry a tune. This band can't hold a candle to the rest of the nominees. I guess luck does have alot to do with success, especially when talent is lacking. Too bad.

First question:
Who are you speaking of? Hmm?
Second question:
Have you seen them in concert?

You have absolutely no right to talk about Kenny Chesney that way!!! You don't see the rest of us showing that kind of disrespect to your precious Keith, who, by the way, I also love. All of the nominees for Entertainer of the Year deserve the award, or they wouldn't be nominated. Look at the people who were left out. And by the way Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney are great friends, and I am sure Keith would love to know that one of his "fans" so dislikes one of his best friends.

I completely agree with you Jon. Brad Paisley is by far the best singer, the best songwriter, the best guitar player; in general, he is the most talented performer in country music today!

He is also the most attractive!!!
