Very right, Abhijit! I think it has something to do with numerology, etc. Heartening to know that the family has started work on Kakaji's legacy. I have a feeling that the children-Akshay, Tina and Rinke- will leave no stone unturned and will do it better than Kakaji would have done it himself!

Anita lost her right to say anything the day she sent the legal notice to Kaka. I think she was just a friend who helped out with the housekeeping - nothing more, nothing less.

Exactly. maybe she wants some money so no harm in giving her a few lacs and sending her on her way

The main - point would be for them to make sure they carry out his wish which I am sure they will as Akshay really stood by Him in the latter days, proved that he is the perfect Son in law- I mean no onegnna mess with Akshay are they? he will do Karate on them.
SO I think Kaka's dream will be carried out- the name is not as important as the task.

Anita was Kaka's girlfriend from the age of 14, yes 14 so she is asking for payment for all the pleasure Kaka had

just saw Birodh a bengali movie on you tube and it was sooo different and sooo good
just like RK to do something totally different from other stars
no wonder he did wafaa near his old age
He just liked to do different roles and he was bold enough to do it completely different from AB so I don't know why the media keeps comparing him with AB
RK and AB are completely different actors!
It is just not a fair comparison.

The Hindi version is 'Shatru'. He was excellent in it.

I agree. I saw the building recently with Vardaan Ashirwad written on it. in fact both have the same meaning.

Aashirwad is a lovely name and well recognised.
I named my own house after it.

As per reports Dimple has moved into Ashirwad and is going to stay there. I guess what will happen to the thought of making it into a musuem.

Big B sends food to Dimple at Aashirwad

Rajesh Khanna passed away and all the rituals are over but close ones and friends are rallying the Khanna’s bungalow ‘Aashiward’ to know the well-being of the family and also lending support during this difficult time. The Bachchans who are very close to Rajesh Khanna, Dimple and their two daughters, Twinkle and Rinki are doing all they can to support the family.

On Saturday, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan visited Dimple. They were seen leaving Aashirwad. The Bachchan family extends full support to Rajesh Khanna’s family. Amitabh Bachchan informed that they are sending food to Khanna’s residence as according to Hindu rituals the family of the dead not allowed to cook till the 13th day. Big B on his blog wrote,“The rituals are over. Food from our house has been sent to Dimple, his wife, at his house Aashirwad, where she plans to stay till the terahvein, the 13th day is over.”

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were present at the crematorium. They braved the huge traffic to reach the crematorium. The crowd meted with a lathi charge when Big B and Abhishek decided to cover the short distance to the crematorium on foot due to huge traffic. The crowd went berserk on seeing their favorite star on the street. Big B later wrote on twitter,” The funeral of Rajesh Khanna was poignant and crowded .. the crowds were in throngs,with scant respect for the situation .. pity !!(sic)”

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna have shared screen space in many hit films.

This was reported in TOI yesterday. Dimple Kapadia has made the sea facing Ashirvad her permanent home.

Really? Museum phir kaise banega??? And, agar museum nahin banana tha toh kakaji ko promise kyon kiya??? Shayad, phir ghar nahin milta.

I read somewhere that kakaji had even put a ticket window in place before he left for his heavenly abode. Maybe, he wanted his fans to see his house as he had personally set it up- with Rajesh Khanna touches.

I do not think Dimple and family would have the guts to cheat on his legacy like this. The museum should be up by his birthday.

I am really sorry that she never lived with him for the last more than thirty years and now when he is gone she has just moved in....has she got no shame or no conscious....if you did not like that person when he was alive what is the pointnow?

Friends , today i was in mumbai and had gone to Aashwirad for paying my respect to kakaji .

i was standing opposite side of the road and keep visualizing the moments of 18th and 19th july 2012.

in the end i walked to the gate of the bungalow. I touched the " R" Symbol fixed on the gate with my hands . Also saw the prefix of the aashwirad , in the meantime security person come out from inside the gate.
Before he questioned me , i forawd my hand for handshake and he obliged. I told him , i have came for delhi .... i have heard that there was a diary outside the bungalow were fans used to write there feelings .
He replied that it was there for first twenty days and not a one diary but sixety big daries were get fulled with fans message . Now these diaries are with dimpleji.

My second question was , we have heard that this bungalow will be turned into museum .He replied that " No " this is not correct . News papers have written it there are no plans for the same . I was devastated finally he told that if it happen eveyone will get know.

in fornt of him again i touch the gate , but was not have courage to ask him to let me get inside the gate for a moment.

during my conversation with him , there were tears in his eyes.

Finally we said goodbye to eachother by shaking the hands , i asked his name he replied " Deepak A " . He is tall guy , His surname starts with "A" but i didnt remember full surname.
