Jeez, what a surprise.First off they have to want to learn, around here the natives kids are told by their moms that they do not have to learn anything thing a whiteman teaches. The native kids favourite excuse is they do not have to learn anything,is "its my land".These would be the same kids ages 5 to 13 that you see walking the streets in this town all night everyday? These are the kids that are raised in a healthy home environment free of alcohol, physical and sexual abuse? The native kids in the schools here only have to show up one day a week in order to qualify for their bribery checks. It seems to me the last time we tried to educate the natives it ended costing the taxpayers billions. The native kids on the rez schools mostly learn native history, with all the appropriate whining added in,and drumming and chants. You know, the stuff that will get you far in the real world. All the native system of education does is prepare these kids for a lifetime if living on the rez and collecting welfare.

These would be the same little girls of elementary school age that you see pushing baby bubbies around town.A friend of mine who, is a natal sonogram tech ,said it is always disturbing to her how many 12 year old native girls come to the hospital for natal b-scans.
