well yes He did He told John to write Revelation and we all believe this verse don't we; >All scripture is given by inspiration of God<, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:,
Regina you make it sound like the Bible is not he Word of God and if Faith come by hearing the Word then the Word had to be first.
Revelation was written after Christ ascended to heaven. I repeat, Christ did not tell anyone to write anything down.

How do you know it's the Word of God? You know because the Church told you it is. The Church came first. The Bible came out of the Church, not the other way around. The Church was formed on the Word of God directly from God's mouth (Jesus Christ), not on the inspired written word. The written word (the bible) came after the Church was established. Clay nor any other Catholic has "put down" scripture as has been falsely claimed. How could we, it came from us!

Disagreement is one thing; putting words in our mouths is quite another.

First of all, the only reason you think St. Matthew wrote the Gospel of Matthew is because the same men who said it wrote it in Aramaic ALSO said it was hime who wrote it. Secondly, they didn't even write them until at least 30 years AFTER Christ's Ascension. The Gospel was preached ORALLY for at least that long BEFORE anyone could point to a "bible" and say "See!!! It says so right here!!!"
How can we possibly know WHEN THEY STARTED WRITING ...we don't ..just when they were finished .

These men believed in the written word ..Anthony .

But they also waited for the imminent RETURN ..at some point hey realized it might not be as soon as they thought ...so they wrote for posterity .

I also think some of them were the results of asking questions of Mary and others who knew,Him

They wrote tO believers in the Churches .

GOD insured writing written to future believers ..ALL OF US ...

I have no idea what Bible you are reading. I thought it interpreted itself? You are Peter, and on this rock I'll build my Church. I will give YOU the keys".
Its plain and simple. No need to go on a scavenger hunt with verses. Those are Jesus' words.
Good gravy Clay...

So if a born again Christian has a co-worker and that co-worker asked how do I get to Heaven, does the born again Christian have the keys...another words do they know how to get there???

The authority is giving to all Christians because of what Christ did. He is the foundation of the Church.

Look at what your church has done to you...

To them the written word was the Septuagint.

You accept the authority of the Catholic Church in determining the canon of the NT. Why would you reject them saying St. Matthew wrote it in Aramaic?

The early Church said the "make disciples" part included baptism and the "teaching them to observe" included water baptism, the the Eucharist as the Sacrifice in the mass, confession, confirmation, the Communion of Saints, prayers for the dead, ordinations of priests, etc.

Acts 2:38 "Rock replied, repent and be baptized everyone of you"
Acts 3:6 "then Rock said,'silver and gold I do not have, but what i do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk"
Yes, I'm pretty sure Jesus named Simon Rock, and I proved it with scripture.

Slow down and address the points, you just said yourself (The Church was formed on the Word of God directly from God's mouth (Jesus Christ),

So then you agree the Word of God has to be first? You agree that Faith comes from hearing the Word?

I don't think what you're doing is very nice and it certainly isn't Christ-like. If rebuking her opened the door for those like you who are getting thrills out of continually attacking and abusing her, then he was wrong to do so publicly.

Not sure why it bothers you so much that I posted to her, but you might want to calm yourself down and rethink your behavior here. You might even want to speak to the preacher at your spiritual gathering space.

Are you criticizing me for speaking to her? Perhaps you think I should shun her which appears to be a common practice among all the non-Catholics here...and not just the protestants. What you're doing is sinful. Christians are called to forgive, not taunt someone into further sin the way you people do, and gleefully at that. But do continue to enjoy yourselves at the expense of others. After all, at least you're not as bad as some people here, or so we're continually being told. I think someone needs to read the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican again. And this time try to actually understand it.

:0)
Catholicism is the fulfillment of its own ego.

Judaism never had a need of Catholicism to fulfill anything whatsoever.

Are indicating that had Jesus existed he would have had to first become a Catholic in order to ultimately be a perfected Jew?

I suggest you stop being so silly.

This child understood the stupidity of Catholic ... and further, Protestant theology. Yet the adults ridiculed the child.
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>

From the book …“Billy” by Pamela Stephenson … comes the following.

One day, Jesus had come into conversation at home and Billy referred to Jesus as having been a Catholic, which was his seven-year-old misunderstanding. Aunt Margaret corrected him.‘Jesus wasn’t Catholic, Jesus was a Jew.’

‘Oh,’ he said with innocent surprise,‘does that mean we’re Jews?’

‘Where did you come up with that one?‘ she sneered, and continued to ridicule him until he was in his teens.‘Does that mean we’re Jewish?’ she would mimic him.

Insane theology

Christians would like us to believe that Jesus came to earth to tell all humans "Don't be a Jew, unless you first become a Christian ... because only then can you be perfected ... like ME."

Very silly stuff in deed!

Anyone with common sense would understand (within theological rhetoric) that Jesus would have come to earth to say "Stop being unfaithful to Judaism. Follow me and I will teach the way, the truth and the light. None can come unto my Father Jehovah, unless they become Jews ... in the purest sense of the WORD!"
