In reading the Bible I found this reference to the Roman Catholic church. The Roman Catholic church is described in I Timothy 4:1-3 and it reads as follows:
I Timothy 4:1-3, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." (KJV)
The Roman Catholic church has done and is doing the following as stated in these Bible verses ......
1. Departed from the faith
2. Given heed to seducing spirits
3. Given heed to the DOCTRINES of devils
4. Spoken lies in hypocrisy
5. Their conscience seared with a hot iron
6. Forbidding to marry
7. Commanding to abstain from meats
I Timothy 4:1-3, "Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth." (NLT)

Lies? You and your kind have been lied to and have perpetuated the lie of Catholicism and will be held responsible for the lost in hell by your deception and lies. Not my words but the words of Jesus.
Lol. Keep preaching that Gospel brother!!

I think I'll stay right where I'm at for two reasons:

Jesus promised the gates of hell will never prevail against His Church.
I found the Church who organized, compiled and published the Bible.
I'm all in with the Catholic Church. You can not debunk her unless you speak falsehoods. I know, I've investigated all the silly claims by the fundamentals. It does not add up, Mr old gee. Your theology doesn't add up. It makes no sense. It requires submittal to ignorance. Got it?
So don't threaten me with hell. You're just some guy in 21st century America who has a Bible in his hand, with no clue on how it got there or what it exactly is.

You are 're same person who said the, apostles, did NOT write because,Jesus, did not tell them to...
So asking YOU again ..we're did he scripture a come from .
You really think they were not from the apostles .
"Scriptures" were assigned by men and not the Apostles.

FYI - most of the NT was not written by the attributed person that the books have as being attributed to. Most scholars will agree that only some of the letters by "Paul" were actually written by "Paul", and that "Luke" wrote his gospel and Acts.

All other texts are by unknown authors.

If one were to start here with their questions, they will learn alot, if they research these details. They would be learning that they have been told lie after lie about Christianity.

Okay, sure.

But if this is the case, one would have to accept all of his teachings in order to come to this conclusion, and not just a conclusion based upon a portion of his teachings, as Christianity has done.

Why don't you believe Jesus?

Excellent post!...... Protestants "cling" to a non-biblical, non-historical (man-made myth) of Sola Ecclesia --the bible only is the Word of God, which was "never believed" by ANYONE until the 17th century...... Sola Ecclesia (or Sola Scriptura) has "no basis" of biblical or historical truth, to back it up, and is a "hodge-podge" of dogmatic Protestant opinions which total more than 42,000 contradicting beliefs.......The Catholic Christian Faith, which has been grounded in the TRUE DOCTRINE of biblical TRUTH and FAITH in Jesus Christ for over 2000 years believes in Sola Verbum Dei (THE WORD OF GOD ALONE). This WORD comes to us from Jesus HIMSELF and the Apostles through both the written and the oral tradition (2 Thess 2:15) which has been entrusted to the Church that Jesus builds upon the rock of Peter (Matthew 16:13-21. The ineffable wisdom of God is made known through HIS Church (Eph 3:9-10) Paul confirms and re-affirms this in I Timothy 3:15 when he calls THE CHURCH (not the bible alone) the pillar, pinnacle and foundation of the TRUTH. There is ONLY ONE TRUTH-----not 42,000 contradicting, inconsistent and conflicting "relative truths" in which "each persons bible only opinion" is the "final authority"!!!God (is not) nor EVER HAS BEEN the author of this Protestant "rif-raf" of confusion, disorder, chaos snd disorientation!!!!!!!
Since you do not believe the Word of God...whose word do you believe????!!!!

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Since the man of God is "thoroughly furnished" by all scripture, inspired of God, unto good works....what else is necessary????!!!!

How can he be more "thoroughly furnished"????!!!!

HOJO,
The Roman Catholic churches are highly divided even within their own ranks.
The TRUTH OF DOCTRINE and TRUTH of the Gospel TEACHINGS of Jesus Christs One True Catholic Church is the has same and has been for over 2000 years. The Church "is not divided" when it comes to it TRUE TEACHINGS, TRUE INTERPRETAION OF THE BIBLE, and the TRUE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST! People within the Catholic Church, may chose not to accept all of those teachings, and that is for them to decide if they want to "remain TRUE CATHOLIC CHRISTIANS" or go their own way just like your 42,000 contradicting denominations have splintered, fractured, and divided into "relative truth" editorialists, that can't agree on "anything" so they leave and start another denominations..... That is why the Protestant Churches are (again) "all over the place" when it comes to the TRUTH of TRUE CHRISTIANITY with TRUE bible interpretation!!.....Many of these bible only "self-interpreting experts" have "sold out their souls" to their false and distorted bible teachings,(leading others astray) by accepting abortion, gay marriage, women ministers euthenasia, embroyonic stem cell research, homosexual preachers, and God only knows "what's next" depending on which way the "next gust" of political (liberal) wind, happens to blow!!!!!! I/we as Catholics will continue to follow the same TRUE teachings of Jesus Christ, as others who have (gone before us marked with the sign of TRUE FAITH) for over 2000 years, with the TRUTH (each day) in Daily Mass, the Euchsrist (Jesus' TRUE body and TRUE blood, TRUE BIBLE Interpretation and the TRUE WORD OF GOD in the homily, the Sacraments, the 24 hour Adoration prayer chapel with the Blessed Sacrament and the TRUE TEACHINGS OF Jesus Christ HIMSELF!!!We, as Catholics (ALL KNOW THE TRUTH)and it is manifested in Jesus Christ HIMSELF--in and through His Apostolic Catholic Church!!!

Diversion.

My belief is not in question here.

But you are correct withthe aspect that whatever you or I believe, does require the Self.

Why don't you begin posting teachings by Jesus on salvation, instead of your own opinions?

If you were to, you would get a much better understanding of why you fail to beleive in what Jesus taught.

First...the Commandments are God's...not Mose's..
Second..if, as you say, we are no longer under the law of Moses (the Ten Commandments), that means that Christ abolished them!!!!

Answering "the Holy Spirit does" is taking the ignorant- easy way out.
The Bible is not all that Christ revealed and definitely not all that the Apostles set up. If they'd done that, they most certainly would have given us a list of Biblical Books to include as well as tell us to go by the Bible alone.
There is nothing in scripture to support your theology.
The Church is the pillar and bulwark of truth per scripture. Not the Bible. If the Bible was the pillar and bulwark of truth, than Paul would have called the Bible as such. Instead, he called the Church it.
You can read what their Disciples wrote about what they thought the Church was, or you can ignore it and pretend your scenario is truth.
Glad to see you catlicks aligned...you are the third to call your pope a ball-face liar....congratulations!!!!!

Protestant groups display a wide variety of different doctrines. However, virtually all claim to believe in the teachings of sola scriptura ("by Scripture alone"—the idea that we must use only the Bible when forming our theology) and sola fide ("by faith alone"— the idea that we are justified by faith only).
WONT IT BE A RUDE AWAKENING FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS...WHEN THEY FIND OUT THAT ....REAL CHRISTIANS... THAT ATTEMPT ...TO OBEY THE SCRIPTURES ENTER INTO ETERNAL LIFE...and they are left outside the GATE...
WE SOLA SCRIPTURIANS HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE....YOU CONSTANTIANS HAVE EVERY THING AT STAKE...BECAUSE YOU HAVE PLAYED A GAME OF RELIGIOUS BINGO. WITH YOU ETERNAL SOUL...
Just as man are not supposed to have sexual relations with other species
God does not tolerate spiritual relationship between his sons with
evil spirits.
What so ever is not of Faith is sin...
Rom_14:23 ......... for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Sins are not forgiven by Christ....per Scripture...

We are to confess to God...not a priest...per Scripture..

Christ is not God....per Scripture...

Christ is the Son of God..per Scripture..

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1. A double blessing promised and insured, namely, justification and sanctification, forgiveness of sin, and cleansing from it, yea, from all iniquity; when God pardons sin, no sin is left unpardoned; the sea can as easily drown a thousand men as a single man; God's act of pardoning grace is free and full.

2. The certainty of the mercy promised, God is faithful and just to forgive: not merciful and gracious, though so he is in himself, but faithful with respect to his promise to us, and just with respect to the satisfaction given by Christ for us. Almighty God in pardoning sin performs an act of strict justice with respect to Christ, as well as an act of grace and mercy, in regard of us; he is faithful and just, as well as gracious and merciful.

3. The indispensible duty required on our part, and that is confession of sin, If we confess. Now confession of sin is a penitent sinner's voluntary accusing himself to God, and condemning himself before God, with hatred of, shame and sorrow for, and a full resolution against his sin, together with an earnest desire of, and some good hope in divine mercy.

4. What relation confession stands in to remission, not as a meritorious cause; satisfaction, not confession, merits pardon, but it is an exclusive condition; there is no remission without confession; God will not pardon without it: And it is an inclusive condition; God will, certainly will, forgive them that confess: There is not only a possibility or probability, but an infallible certainty of obtaining remission upon confession.
