My approach to the bile is wrong??? Most catholics will agree that scripture does not support Mary being sinless..correct? So the only conclusion is that it is a man-made doctrine.
Matt 19:16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying,“Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him,“Why do you ask me about what is good? There is **ONLY ONE** who is good.
**THERE IS ONLY ONE WHO IS GOOD. These are Christ's words and yet you tell me I'm have the wrong approach. You say Christ is wrong because a pope said Mary was too....unreal
You said "most Catholics will agree that scripture does not support Mary being sinless"

I've never heard that before. The belief that Mary was sinless was held by the early Church. Even the Orthodox and many Protestants believed it. Its a belief that is really quite simple. The word of God made flesh couldn't have combined with a sinner to form the perfect Christ. This - if you were to strictly go by the Bible- would be the readers understanding of what God is, not what Mary is. God is without sin, right? How could Jesus enter this world through a contaminated body?
There is no verse that says this, but there doesn't need to be one either. The fundamental demands a verse without any basis for demanding one. You would first need to prove that Jesus said everything about His Mother is found in the Bible. Then you'd need to provide the verse where He gives the list of Books.

Its good that you pray to God, Marge. I'm not knocking your devotion to that.
Catholics (and Orthodox) don't actually pray to the Saints, but WITH the Saints. Its not an offering of worship, because worship is for God alone. Christians are a family. We pray for each other and with each other. This doesn't end when one of us moves on to Heaven. In fact, it increases because the Saint is now in the presence of God. John describes this in the Book of Revelation (8:4) "and the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the Saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel"

<quoted text>You shouldn't use your real name. Personal info can be found on a person that uses their real name and posters have used that info in horrible ways. I had a friend on the abortion forum that used a picture of his daughter on an avatar and someone found out who these people were and wished rape on their daughter and were making lewd remarks about the picture of the toddler. The scary thing is a poster lived near these people and made threats too, they had to hire a lawyer and such. When one puts personal info out there for all to see, expect trouble. Another time someone looked up the church i attended and used the pic of the priest there, several pro aborts used the pic at the same time. The Diocese was very angry at Topix. Topix removed the pics. and another time I heard on the news Topix poster came looking for another poster and wanted to kill her, luckily they caught the crazy lady before she could do harm.
I agree, people shouldn't use their real name. But as far as I know, topix doesn't forbid it.
My real name is Liam. I used Claypool for awhile, then Clay.(after Les Claypool from Primus).
I would say my last name too, because I really don't care if someone comes after me. It'll probably happen one day in this country anyway. They'll round up all the Catholics..

<quoted text>Then you need to quit, you are only on a Catholic thread to disrupt. I have posted this a few times and you still post against the Church. go to the protestant threads, you will fit in just fine there, but quit bashing Catholicism. Maybe the Catholics should go to your protestant threads, hmm? Rose was on an abortion thread and one of the pro aborts kept on calling Christ terrible names, your friend never posted anything to the pro abort telling her to stop bashing Christ, instead she asked how the poster was feeling. Now that is just horrible isn't it. rose didn't srtand up for Christ and her excuse was the word jebus was actually used in the bible, that there were people called jebusites. her friend is an escort to an abortion clinic, hates the pro life movement and posts filth. rose would make up excuses to cover for her pro abort friends who used her . All the pro life posters tried to be her friend, she refused and called us liars etc.
When my kids were little and the tattled or spread rumors I put them in Time Out...I DO NOT CARE WHAT Rose or anyone else says or does in another forum or else where...That's doesn't concern me...This is NOT a CATHOLIC ONLY FORUM...and it is Catholics such as yourself that is doing great harm to the Catholic Church...You are not a good example of how a true follower of your faith behaves...I am not bashing your church I am correcting your behavior towards others while you claim to be a Christian...I am defending Rose from your personal attacks. Your church or your faith has nothing to do with it.

life is full of mystery
love can fulfil a giant's heart
compassion heals all wounds
however far a wide,
i love god
god loves me
i love mary
mary and i make love
and in that union of religious zeal
i m canonised in her faith,
i love Christ
Christ loves me
in our bond of love,
we are forever happy
with our lot.

happy are the days of the prophets,
charm my senses
with all of your dream weavings,
hold me for i could cry
religious fervour feels my heart
and overwhelms my soul,
you bring me bread
you bring me a sword,
you bring the exotic love of a prostitute,
you bring me a bow and arrow.

in your eyes i am reborn,
in your faith i live forever
in the heart of hearts of your heart,
i am raised to the highest:
amongst the saints
amongst the prophets
amongst the martyrs
amongst the apostles
amongst the people of Israel,
amongst the finest gods of the universe.

love burns inside of me with a passion
but i shall not touch
nor lay one finger's touch
upon the mortal carnal flesh of a naked women,
in my contemplations i feel
less of a man
because i have not raped the sweet madonna
over and over in my mind,
Paul came to my shrine
and he brought a sword,
Peter came to my place of worship
and he brought a stone.

may the seven candle sticks burn
down to their stumps,
before my holy Rome is sacked
and in our glorious eyes
we see the future of the Papal Legate
returning to the foot of the sweet madonna,
posed by kissing the naked foot
of the Mother of God.

in my eyes Rome shall never die,
in the eyes of the faithful flock
the Popes shall reign on earth forever
and ever.

hold my hand as we shall be baptised
together and we shall behold our
mother RCC:
we shall embrace her
we shall make love to her
we shall sow her grace in the cotton fields.

Christ is holy
and i love Christ with a holy love
in the RCC there is much love
of its congregations through the world:
and we must embrace it
and we must fear it
and we must pray of the subjects that enforce it
and we must live and life,
in accordance to its laws and statutes,
its canon,
its teachings of its ways.

Let me re-phrase so you understand. There is no verse/verses of scripture that support Mary being sinless. This is nothing more than a catholic teaching that started many years ago.

I didn't say God's grace comes through Mary. But tell me Chuck, how did the savior of mankind; God Himself manifested as one of us, arrive on this earth? Through Mary. This would make her the Holiest of arks the world has ever seen.

<quoted text>why would ypu question my Catholic past? I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic school for twelve years. I live in a well known Diocese. I can go on. I am proud that my Diocese has the most seminarians in the U.S., has a seminary in Denton Ne that is all Latin and goes by the Vatican. We have cloistered nuns, Pink sisters and the Catholic schools , most have nuns teaching. I know what is what. I know that event he Saints got angry. the Doctors of the Church in fact. I am not afraid to speak my mind and the truth. I have friends who have gone to Lourdes and came back feeling better. I have friends who were lukewarm in their faith and came back from Lourdes with a stronger faith. I believe inwht happened at Fatima, I am a Dorothy Day fan. Who also wasn't afraid to speak out. I will speak out against people who put down my faith, who do not know what is what. I am not one of those who belong to that pre vatican two group. and by the way I know the new bishop of North Dakota and others.
Well I am impressed with your devotion for your church and the fact that you express yourself with such vigor. With all that behind you, you should have no trouble answering Chucks question: Where in the Bible is Fatima?.....I Love Doris Day also...lol

That is the belief system of Muslims. Once U submit to the will of God (the true meaning of the word "Islam") and then turn away, U are surely worthy of death and it will be carried out swiftly. It is not a lie because this is the law of the reigion. God said it Himself plenty of times concerning man's disobedience that people should certainly be put to death if they go against the laws of God which the Muslims follow.
