Mark 16:16, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Read it, thanks. Does the writer really mean to suggest that this was possibly added at a later date? And does he really mean to suggest that we shouldn't take Jesus's words here at face value unless St. Paul confirms it in one of his epistles?

HOW DOES A PERSON RECEIVE SALVATION?
1. First recognize ourselves as the sinners we are. Romans 3:10, "as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;" Romans 3:23" for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousness are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,And our iniquities, like the wind,Have taken us away."

2. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23.

3. Ephesians 2:8-9, tells us that it is the grace of God that saves, because we believe.

4. Romans 10:9-10, Tell us confession of your faith is made with our mouths that we believe Christ's death burial and resurrection. It is with the heart that we believe.

5. John 3:16. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

6. Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

7. II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

8. Revelation 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

In the end, Cain left God behind and sought to live his own way in the land of Nod.
True that. Which brings to mind yet another point. It seems that Cain did once go through the motions of honoring God or was he like so many of the posters that are here in that they honor God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him? Why did God reject the offering that Cain brought?

<quoted text>Why are you claiming that we have no wisdom,and that you have the understanding? Here in this post you are amiss as to why the Jews were to remain with each other,rather than to just marry every man and woman they found from other nations.
Yes God's way of living had a lot to do with it,because He established the L A W. The Nations that surrounded Israel had no concept of the Law,and they even were guilty of worshiping dumb idols,of which many of them sacrificed their children to the idols.
God's heart,Mind,Soul and Spirit had been given to the Israelites,beginning with Abraham.The Hebrews under Moses especially became aware of the Mind of God,the Law was given to them first.But the Jews as they were called much later, found out that the UNSEEN God truly cared for them:Whirlwind of smoke by day,Pillar of fire by night.Water from the stone,Manna from Heaven,and the quailes dropped down for meat.
Provision was given to only the Jews of Ancient times,no one else experienced that from the Creator.
It was not a racial mix God was concerned about,it was the wretched influence from the nations of idolatry,and their vain philosophies of life.
Also it is important to see that God not only provided food and water,and a guide through the wilderness,but He conquered the enemies of the Hebrews,both in the Wilderness and in the Land of Canaan.That of course was that He made it possible against many odds,to be the Deliverer for the Jews when they fought their enemies.No other nation experienced that.
It is a well known fact tony17 that there are existing Jewish communities in many nations,including China,India and Africa.So race has nothing to do with the Jewish people,it was the Doctrine,and Will of God that was important to the Creator,skin color and the slant of the eyes,or the roundness,had nothing to do with it.The Nimba tibe in Africa,and the Phalashan tribes in Ethiopia are J E W S. There are some in China,and also India,so that pretty much covers most races:Asian,African,and of course Caucasian (Semites) as well.
There are many lying people of many different races that claim to be Jewish but they are NOT. Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9.

And why were Foreigners aka Gentiles etc, not allowed to enter into the inner court of the temple?

Never try to make your ways appear to be more righteous than Gods ways. That is a big mistake. I notice how many times people try to judge God when on certain occassions God would tell Israel to totally wipe out certain people and they start protesting against God for telling Israel to do this.

What most of them fail to understand is why God would order Israel to wipe out certain people out. If they research the geneology of those people that God would order Israel to wipe out then they would see that they have judged God falsely.

as the means of salvation,

by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; by the former is meant, not the ordinance of water baptism; for that is never expressed by washing, nor is it the cause or means of regeneration; the cause being the Spirit of God, and the means the word of God: and besides, persons ought to be regenerated before they are baptized; and they may be baptized, and yet not regenerated, as Simon Magus; nor is it a saving ordinance, or a point of salvation; nor can it be opposed to works of righteousness, as this washing is; for that itself is a work of righteousness; see Matthew 3:15 and if persons were saved by that, they would be saved by a work of righteousness, contrary to the text itself: but regenerating grace is meant, or a being born of water, and of the Spirit; that is, of the grace of the Spirit, comparable to water for its purity and cleansing virtue: hence such who are regenerated and sanctified, are said to be washed and cleansed, having their hearts purified by faith, and their consciences purged from sin by the blood of Christ:

The making of disciples incudes baptism.

A question that no Catholic will answer:

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Why were they lied to???!!!! Why were they not told the truth???? Why were they not told to be baptized????!!!!

Snipped for space.
Tony,that was all in God's plan.
Why can't you grasp it?
Again I say to you that Chapter two is an account of God's creation.
2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day
>>from (all) his work which he had made<<.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from
((all his work which God created and made)).
Now,here is the account;
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
Remember,only after Adam and Eve sinned,did God put a curse on them.
What did he tell Adam and Eve?
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;
and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 (In the sweat of thy face) shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve;
because she was the mother of all living.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth >>from the garden of Eden,
>>>to till the ground<< from whence he was taken.
Tony,
Before he created Adam,he said there was not a man to till the ground;
Genesis 2
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
God knew all along that Adam would till the ground.
He also was over all the fish and beast.
Genesis 1
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,
>>and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Sweetheart just let it go. Believe it or not there are people with Doctorates of Theology that don't have eyes to see this either, that only one race came from Adam and Eve and all the other races were created before Adam was """"FORMED """". Adam was the only man that God breated the breath of life into and had Adam not disobeyed God he would have lived forever. Those that are mistaken and think all the differetn races came from Adam and Eve is actually insulting God and like Jobs friends are accusing God of something He is not guilty of.
Given that Adam and Eve was the exact same race how do you account for all the different races being here? If two people are the exact same race and they have children, ALL THEIR CHILDREN WILL BE THE EXACT SAME RACE AS THEY ARE. Yet here we have so many different races here on earth and the mistaken cannot explain their existence with any credibility that is. But as I stated just let it go.
