I disagree that KNEW means a sexual act.
Now what do of do? Should we go to tent revival and have your pastor beat me over the head with a Bible til I submit to his non-authoritative opinion on sacred scripture? Lol
Knew is the past tense of know.

know: 8. Archaic. to have sexual intercourse with.

You're suppose to be a sola scripturist. Book, chapter and verse please, where Christ says all born again Christians get the keys to bind and loose on Earth that Heaven itself will recognize as authoritative.
Luke 10:10 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two[a] others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. 2 And he said to them,“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say,‘Peace be to this house!’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. 7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8 Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick in it and say to them,‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ 12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

If by chance a creator exists ... do you think for a moment that he/she/it approves you people supporting the words written by your favorite theologians, while vilifying the words written by other theologians?

Do you adhere to the idea that a creator could be led helter-skelter by individual believers who lust after their own salvation???

Are you being honest with you self when you adhere to that belief?

Crazy theology

Adam had sex with Eve, who was previously his own rib, and he and Eve bore children that also committed incest.

Theologians were and are idiots.

you said it doesn't mean a sexual act, so what does it mean?
How is it that if there were no witnesses to this, and someone else could write a factual occurrence?

Oxbow is an idiot. Everyone here knows that. He doesn't listen to any Christian here so it's pointless to admonish him.

You on the other hand used your first post here today to defend his position regarding the Blessed Virgin. In my opinion that makes you questionable aw well.

If a person had some type of common sense, they say the text reads Adam and Eve had sex. Eve got pregnant, and Cain was born.

If your Clay it reads Adam knew his wife Eve.

You are supposed to be Catholic.

Please state where "God" has specifically stated which books are inspired and which are not.

Why on Earth would you think this Biblical account is about you and the evangelical born again movement?
Nevermind,... I really don't wanna know.
I've stated before, unless you guys can prove Christ willed sola scripture AND desired to have the born again movement interpret it, there is really no need to play Bible verse ping pong.

So we're agreed - the "knew her" part is not what we're talking about, rather it's the "until" that you're hung up on. As my very first post in this line of discussion indicated, the word "until" is used differently in the bible than the contemporary English you're used to.
All of your reformers believed it was to be understood in the same way the Catholic Church does. No protestants held your view until very recently. Yes, I see the pattern, it's called fundamentalist bible scrabble.
The qualifiers of Christianity.

Do you know them all?

I wonder why it is not required to believe in all of Jesus, but special consideration is placed upon if a woman remained a virgin or not.

DOH!

You can choose to keep believing you receive divine power from words in a book ... or you can choose to close the cover of that book and never place faith and trust in the words of that book again.

I sense allot of insecurity in your laughs.

If my Priest came on here to debate you and said, "the word of God says this". You would say, "no, the word of God says that". whoopy ding, you would win I guess. There has been lots of Chucks since the Bible was published in 1452.
