<quoted text>and Mary called Joseph , His father.
so now we have a never ending cycle.
except for one thing.
Jesus said before Abraham was, I am.
thereby indicating that he had no mother.
mary was a surrogate mother in that fashion ONLY.
Jesus was still God, even in the womb.
mary was never His mother in the strictest sense, just as joseph was never His father either.
I understand that easily, catholics are blind and cant see anything, or else they wouldn't be a catholic.
Preston:

If for you, Jesus had no mother, then in reality for you, he was not human.

You are caught in a dilemma of your own imagination, making God create another being, and calling it a human being.

The genealogy of Jesus is traced back to Adam in the Bible, which is what gives Jesus his status as a human being, of which we all share.

You are saying Jesus does not share our humanity, because you don't believe God can become human.

It is because Jesus became human(emptying himself of his eternal attributes) he could redeem humanity.

All religious theology was compiled by humans.

If you distrust some theologians, I suggest you should distrust ALL theologians.

THAT would only be FAIR!

If you really believe (or better yet--don't believe) in what you are so "convinced"--then why don't you go and live in your "isolated atheistic box" of unbelief and leave us Catholics (or bible only Protestants) alone!!.... There is "not one Catholic" on this forum that believes (anything) you say, and so (as you say) "I don't want to waste my time" then the big question is (WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOU TIME???.......Is it to vent your anger? Is it because you are "trying to convince yourself" of what you say you "don't believe"??....It is the same with "bible only Protestants" on this forum!.......They "cannot" live their bible only (editorialized beliefs) on their own, away from forums such as this, without attacking, bashing and condemning the Catholic Church....(the One True Church of Jesus Christ)!! Their bible only beliefs are "predicated" on attacking the historical and biblical TRUTH of the Catholic Faith and the Church. "It is an (absolute neccessity) for them!!! I know this for a fact! I was raised, grew up and lived the bible only (half-truth) half-heresy) Protestant religion for over 35 years, before coming to the TRUTH of TRUE Salvation in Jesus Christ--in and through HIS One True Apostolic Catholic Church!!!

Those in religion struggle to survive AFTER they die. Non-human animals don't suffer from such arrogance as do humans.
Part of the religious arrogance is believing that humans CAN destroy the world. All we can destroy are the people and the other forms of life ... but we can't end the world by physical actions, OR by religious beliefs that a god is going to end evil ... of all the silly nonsense!
My guess is the earth will survive unless natural catastrophes end it's existence, but it will not BE because of humans should that occur.
by saying the world will come to an end I do mean man, an animal also, but the earth will still be here until the sun burns out and expands into a red giant and devours the planets in it's path.

This reminds me of pope Paul kissing the Qur'an while his missionaries preached to Muslims that their religion was based on false information.

I don't know the future, nor do I pretend to know what comes next, but I certainly don't believe that a god will destroy the evil beings on the earth and waltz the holy ones off to bliss in some afterlife.

Nonsensical gibberish compiled by self-ingratiating theologians.

I suggest that if there is a god, you can't KNOW by interpreting man-created dogmas if the god loves you or hates you. And THAT is the truth! The god will make up its own mind.
When I was under the spell of religion I never bragged that the god loved me more than others. I simply trusted that the god loved everybody.
My goodness you people are NEEDY of attention.
Religion is bunk!
June, we trust that God loves everybody, even you. And I pray He blesses you...

History is written by those in power.
Luckily we have the scriptures protected by God and His people.
Any other book this old would be celebrated not scorned
written by those in power, just because they are in power doesn't make factual. there are many books older than the bible that are scorned, because they can prove the stories in the bible have been taken from these books, and the names have been changed. the only thing new in the bible are the names, the stories are the same, from books written by Gilgamesh, the book of Samaria, josephis and others. Constantine and his 100 cohorts did a good job in writing stories to fill in the bible. because he is pagan and I doubt any of his 100 buddies were all Christians the bible can not be taken seriously, I'm sure mans hands are all over it, why else would they burn books?

Theology can't all be factual, as it's all based on theory.

Why would I believe your theology and not believe the theology of the Hindus that came long before Christianity?

WHY???

Defect of Birth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Defect of Birth was, under former Roman Catholic canon law, a canonical impediment to ordination, stemming from illegitimacy. Under the current 1983 Code of Canon Law, illegitimacy no longer has any canonical implications or consequences.
back in the days of the salem witch hunts, anyone mentally/physically challenged was considered possessed by the devil and burned at the stake, innocent people who's only infliction was a birth defect were killed in the name of god, why didn't god stop it? knowing these people were innocent? again more reason I have doubt.

My statement was " I don't know a single Catholic who has never received the blood of Christ." Which means every Catholic I have ever known has received the precious blood of Christ in the Eucharist.
Which you denied saying!!!!!

Are you still denying you said: I don't know a single Catholic who has never received the blood of Christ???

And he did write about half of the texts ascribed to him.
Do your homework, hon.
have you read all his writings? if you have maybe you can answer the question, was peter ever in Rome? there is no real proof he was, the church got people to believe he was because they found a crypt with the name peter on it with a few bones in it, that does not constitute truth to me, could be anyone in there or anything, also anyone could of wrote the name peter on it.

"For I have taken upon myself, by my own will, the whole of the pain of all things living....I resolve to dwell in each state of misfortune through countless ages...for the salvation of all beings...for it is better that I alone suffer than all beings sink to the worlds of misfortune. There I shall give myself into bondage, to redeem all the world...from the realm of death."
