Many, many images of gods and goddesses were created before the one-god dogma that was created by the Jews.

Jews were previously polytheists. They believed in many gods.

That one-god dogma has been the worst blight to ever hit religion. Ex-Jew Catholics wanted to steal the god from the Jews. Muslims wanted to steal the one god from the Jews and the Catholics. And then the Protestants wanted to steal the one god from the Jews, Catholics and Muslims.

What a greedy Unholy mess!!!

What's happening is, you really need te believe we do... so you do. Its as simple as that.
You guys need to embrace many stereotypes about us in order to have your religion. Some are complex stereotypes, and some are very bizarre- like statute worship.
Remember sir, falsely accusing the Catholic Church is what led me away from you, and back into the fold of the Church.
Anyone can see the amount of deception that goes on in Protestantland if they take a few moments to research it.

The old testament was compiled hundreds of years before the supposed birth of Jesus.

Now observe how the Catholic authors indicated that John the Baptist was a prophet in the old testament ... which would have meant that he was a Jew ... and yet he was ... hundreds of years later, the Catholic saint that baptized Jesus.

You'll see the lies when you choose to see them.

You fool me not. There is no way you actually believe we worship statues.

btw, do you know what we do worship? The Eucharist. How come you never get into that? After all, its just a piece of bread, right?..We hold it up and bow before it. If it ain't really the Body, then the first 1600 yrs of Christianity are in trouble for idolatry.
So really, I'm not sure why you bother falsely accusing us of statue worship, when you could have other ammunition to feed the residents of your compound with.

Ever watch a program on Christain channels
We have it on TBN at 330 am on Sundays I dvr. It..called the stranger.
its a modern day Jesus coming yo ordinary people with modern versions of the parables.
In one of them he and a young lady are talking about
If He has a bottle of water..She is thirsty. He hands it to her..but she has to accept it and drink ..
This guy JEFFERSON MOORE did these shows and a couple of movies. One is called I think Dinner with a Stranger.
All of them are available on DVD. What a great ministry..
I watch TBN occasionally. They show a lot of good Christian themed films, The Passion of the Christ and other biblical movies.

But there's lot's of requests for funding. IMO the only reason one would object to the same being done in the Catholic Church is because they're biased against it.

My guess is, the only place you will find literature about John the Catholic Baptist, is in the new testament.

There are no other historical accounts of John the Baptist from around the period of his lifetime.

Isn't it interesting that the only place in history we can find records of mythical characters is in the mythical literature?

Many historians question whether any of those characters written of in the new testament actually existed ... and so they should ask those pertinent questions.

They were as likely to exist as were all the other savior sons of gods, gods and goddess recorded in other books of fiction.

Theologians were myth-makers, and from my perspective, that says it all.

QUESTION...

WHAT DID JESUS MEAN WHEN HE SAID...

Joh 8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Joh 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Joh 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Joh 8:58 ---> Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. <---

Joh 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

If Peter had existed (which I don't believe) he was a Jew, and Jews don't recommend the building of churches. They recommend the building of synagogues.

No popes of which I am aware ever claimed that the first pope Peter was a Catholic. They stated he was a Jew. Jews don't become Catholic saints.

That ought to be the question you ask of your self.

They wanted you to believe that a Jew was coming back to earth to save only those that practiced the Catholic faith ... period.

At the EMPTY tomb of Jesus it was John that first BELIEVED IN HIS RESURRECTION....understood the resurrection of Jesus... NOT PETER...

Joh 20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

Joh 20:5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

Joh 20:6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

Joh 20:7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

Joh 20:8 ---> Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. <---

NOTE

Joh 20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

Joh 20:10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
