I understand that you would like to cast all of your church's problems on homosexuals.
You caught that blight from the words of your popes.
Shame on them and if you keep on with your ideas ... shame on you!
It's not nice to use religion to bully innocent people.
Pedophiles are not homosexuals or heterosexuals. They are pedophiles.
I'm wondering where you draw the line? It wasn't too long ago when society thought the idea of a persons putting their 'junk' in someones mouth was sick. Now its glamourized.
I was comparing homosexual acts to pedophilia because both could be viewed as abnormal sexual attraction. And I don't understand why either would be protected by the US constitution.

America recognizes marriage because the founding fathers saw the benefit of the Family contributing to a stronger union. No family, no country.
Homosexual artificial families are NOT beneficial. There is no reason for society to recognize it. I personally know of one. And that poor kid is so screwed up -despite all the acceptance and love around him at school and home. We the People will have to deal with the consequences when this kid grows up.
conclusion: society does not benefit from recognising his parents marriage.

The vast majority of abuse was done by homosexual priests and the victims were pubescent and post-pubescent boys. Very few occurrences of pedophilia.
Don't BE so stupid.

Children in churches were abused by men and women molesters, who abused both boys and girls.

If it's consensual it's none of your business or mine what others do in with their sexual activities.

You are not a moral guide or dictator just because you are in a religion.

For your information husbands and wives have oral and anal sex, and don't believe it is EVIL as your churches teaches is based on a god's truth.

I have friends from NW Wisconsin, it is gorgeous, I just have a hard time hanging around those cheese heads! Ever been to Cabelas in Rogers? Great store. Yes, Vermilion is beautiful, one of my favorite lakes. Been going there did 20 years...never been skunked. The wife and I (more me than her) are thinking about a cabin for retirement...they'll have to get more shopping in Tower though. Lol.
Yeah I love Cabelas. They are building a new one in Woodbury, 10 min from my house!(breaking ground very soon I believe)

You must know Vermillion a lot better than me, because I've been skunked. lol
Out in front of the casino and in front of Bayview lodge are two of my favorite spots in spring.
I could be happy just to be drifting on that lake with a pole in the water and not catch anything. There is so much wildlife to look at..
Hope you get your limit!

Are you an Anarchist?
I'm not making someones sexual adventures 'my busines'. However, having to live in the same society as them, I will choose to use my constitutional right to speak out against something I see as being unproductive to our community. I want to encourage the Man/woman marriage in a covenant, with children being raised in that covenant, as much as possible. And yes, heterosexual couples are just as guilty for the moral breakdown of the family. The fruits of this is evident in many areas. Can't you see what the breakdown of the family has done?
I think you're a feminist though, so you probably think the woman was a slave because she cooked dinner for her family. lol.
Oh well, who suffers? the children. And when they get older, society has to bear the brunt of the psychological reality of what divorce does to them.
THAT'S why marriage is recognized and encouraged by We The People, June. It has nothing to do with someones 'right' to put their sexual organ in someones digestive system.

The Third Ecumenical Council. was convened in the year 431 A.D., in the city of Ephesus, under Emperor Theodosius II. 200 Bishops were present
THE POPE SENT TWO BISHOPS, ARCADIUS AND PROJECTUS, TO REPRESENT HIMSELF AND HIS ROMAN COUNCIL, AND THE ROMAN PRIEST, PHILIP, AS HIS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE. Philip, therefore, takes the first place, though, not being a bishop, he could not preside. It was probably a matter of course that the Patriarch of Alexandria should be president. THE LEGATES WERE DIRECTED NOT TO TAKE PART IN THE DISCUSSIONS, BUT TO GIVE JUDGMENT ON THEM.IT SEEMS THAT CHALCEDON, TWENTY YEARS LATER, SET THE PRECEDENT THAT THE PAPAL LEGATES SHOULD ALWAYS BE TECHNICALLY PRESIDENTS AT AN ECUMENICAL COUNCIL, AND THIS WAS HENCEFORTH LOOKED UPON AS A MATTER OF COURSE,
ONE SHOULD CONFESS JESUS CHRIST AS TRUE GOD AND TRUE MAN-
The Orthodox co-opted the Jewish Holy Book.

The Romanists co-opted the Orthodox Holy Book.

All added touches of other ancient dogmas.

<quoted text>Lack of spirituality causes desperation in deluge. It is easy to discover, your type always tries to use minutia of lies due to cowardliness in performing their function as a Christian. What's wrong, some sinner hurt your feelings so now you are hiding among Christians while souls are left evangelized.
Understand this, even if what you said was true, both Cain, his descendants and all of the Nephilium's died during the flood.
"Lack of spirituality causes desperation in deluge."

The above statement about religiosity is delusional.

The reality...

The most religious regions of the world are the poorest, with the highest rates of crime.

In the USA, the most religious states (Bible Belt) have the highest homicide rates and tend to be less educated.

We must remain in contact with reality.

According to the confessions from men and women who were raised in the Catholic churches, now out in the public arena ... when they were children, they were molested by nuns.

Yet not one word came from the hierarchy about "lesbians" molesting children, and that was NOT by coincidence ... that was on purpose.

As occurred all through the centuries of hierarchical sermons, homosexual men were their TARGETS.

"God said so" ... was their story and they were "sticking to it ... as they preached their lies as though the lies were based on truth.

Criminals in god-garb!

Comes down to this:
Do you think Peter was the leader of the Apostles or not?
If Christ set up his Church like that, then its safe to say that the next generation of Apostles also had a leader....and the next and next.
Not according to the earliest church writings.

It's interesting that ordinary facts play such a small role in the great delusion.

If this were not a delusion, there would be no centuries-long debates, disagreements, and wars.

Any real God would have seen to that.

I've heard more than one Christian utter the words against outsiders ... "I hope they burn in hell!"

I gathered they weren't willing to point at their own members that ordered the killing of innocent people century after century after century.

It's more fun for those who perceive they are saved, to point outward at perceived evil.

A god with any sense of decency would have long ago put a stop to the horrors and foolishness of religion.

And YES ... I mean ALL religion ... your "brand" is NOT special, except to YOU!

How silly!
Maybe he mis-wrote, but in the first version, the murder wasn't reported to the police. Now the story has changed and the police were involved.

Much better.

Like in Poland recently, when some human flesh was given to a Priest, with the claim that it was a Eucharist that had changed.

Instead of proclaiming a miracle, the Priest called the police.

Sometimes, the imaginary needs a dose of reality for everyone's sake.

If people really believed in God, my prayer to end cancer in mankind wouldn't be considered foolish.

In fact, according to many verses in the Bible, my "end cancer" prayer makes complete sense.

It's just that no one takes the Bible seriously at its word.

The Bible is all pick and choose and explain.

A god with any sense would send his only son to be tortured and killed "to save mankind," only to have very few of mankind get the message -- and little agreement among those who did.

What a nonsensical way to get the word out.

The way I see it Herm, why would any group of Bishops want one of their peers to have primacy over them?? UNLESS Jesus Christ willed it and set His Church as such.
If Peter had authority over the other Apostles -and I believe scripture clearly demonstrates this - then why wouldn't the next generation also have a Peter?
** if someone were to argue that Paul publicly rebuked Peter, so therefore he couldn't have authority over him... you should understand that nothing has changed to this day. If Pope Francis strays outside of Church teachings, he would be rebuked by the other Bishops.
Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.
