Really.
"53 Jesus said to them,“Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. YOUR ANCESTORS ATE MANNA AND DIED, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
Christ seemed VERY emphatic on the matter, did He not?

**********

Read it again: YOUR ANCESTORS ATE MANNA AND DIED. Catholics have been 'eating' the Eucharist for centuries, and not one of them lived past his time.

Jesus said that, "WHOEVER EATS THIS BREAD WILL LIVE FOREVER". He also said that HE is the 'living' bread, which, if one 'eats'(absorbs, obeys), he/she shall live FOREVER.

<quoted text>The reason you do not understand why the so called Jews orchestrated Christ's death in the NT is because you do NOT comprehend the first 6 chapters of the book of Genesis which I told you guys some time ago that unless you comprehend the first 6 chapters of Genesis then the rest of the scriptures will thoroughly confuse you guys and you have demonstrated that you DO NOT grasp the first 6 chapters of Genesis.
God told Eve that He would put enmity between her seed ( CHRIST) and the serpents seed ( Cain ) and that they would bruise His ( CHRIST'S) heel ( THE ORCHESTRATION OF CHRISTS TEMPORARY DEATH adn that Christ would bruise the head OF THE SERPENT. Look up the word seed in Hebrew. Then come back and tell me what SEED is defined as
. Adam WAS NOT Cain's father. Eve was already impregnated with Cain by SATAN when Adam knew her and she became pregnant with Abel. Cain and Abel were FRATERNAL TWINS. One fathered by Satan ( Cain ) and one fathered by Adam ( Abel ).
There have been examples of women being impregnated by two men at the same time. In Europe there was a story of a woman beinbg impregnated by two men at the samer time. One of the babies was white and the other was black.
Don't you think it's time to mature in Gods word?
Tony17:

Genesis4

1 And Adam(the man) knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

2 And she again bare his brother Abel.

To imagine Adam and Eve did not bear both Cain and Abel, is seeking something imagined rather than what is written. It is not necessary to repeat something over and over when developing a story. That would not help one follow a storyline, but disrupt a line of thought.

There's no need to word play with that. The fact that they ate Manna and died, shows how 'that much more powerful the Eucharist is'. The Manna they ate came from Heaven. But it wasn't the Eucharist.

From my perception your main hobby IS your Christian religion ... where you now look down the mountain that you believe you climbed and assess others as not being as wise as you who was wise enough to join the Christian religion.

You would be better off at the bottom of the mountain with me, where we could discuss how our own characters need remodeling and how the arrogance that comes in the package of religion can't do that FOR us.

We who are Christ's heirs, share with him, the suffering in this world, and so will be glorified with him.
And so I share in your lack of knowing justice in this world. I know of a woman, a newcomer, immigrant, raped and murdered, but was ignored, and covered up, in order to "preserve" the peace of the community. No investigation. She was a friend.
Such is a reminder, that we live in a society, that has not changed since the time of Cain.
Some human beings seek to free themselves of suffering, by keeping busy, in amusements, and addictions. Even religous people do this. But because the Love of God manifested in the flesh, Jesus Christ suffered, in all ways that human beings suffer, that does not mean we will not suffer.
It is to our faith in Christ, that we may suffer with him, and be glorified with him.
Are you telling the truth?

Your words again -- "I know of a woman, a newcomer, immigrant, raped and murdered, but was ignored, and covered up, in order to "preserve" the peace of the community. No investigation. She was a friend."

A friend of yours? Raped and murdered? And you don't go to the police!!!

Shouldn't someone contact Topix, so the police can be called?

Why not do the right and moral thing and contact the authorities?

This is amazing. I think you are lying, but on the outside chance you are not -- what would be the right thing to do?

What would be the "Christian" thing to do for every religious person on this board?

I remember the story of your son. My heartfelt prayers still go out to you, he and your family.

I believe you were called by God to do something. But it wasn't to fight the Catholic Church or undo sacred teachings from the Apostles. That much is certain.

You're flat out in error on your opinion towards Catholics, the Church, and her teachings. I know more than enough evidence has been brought to you. You didn't have access to this when you were twelve with you brothers. So it was ok. But now that you do, you soul is in danger because you've continued on teaching contrary to Our Lord Jesus Christ. That's not ok Confrint.

Of course people will kill each other. If I found it necessary I no doubt would kill other humans ... but I wouldn't lead them astray by claiming that the war I was trying to instigate was supported by a god.

Killing is to be expected, as humans are animals as are all other animals ... but using religion as a ploy to motivate people to kill, when teaching people that religion is the highest truth for which to attain, confuses people. That suggests that the god who tells truth WANTS humans to kill each other.

Such ridiculous teaching drove many people to insanity and suicide.

I suggest that the theologians didn't want to admit the real reasons for war was of their own greed in the quest to steal land and property and women and whatever else they desired.

"HOLY WAR???" ... what an ignorant term!!!

I have faith that I can make credible judgments on my own that I could never make when I was in religion.

Your faith is in your Christian dogma, and that is your belief.

My faith is no longer in religion, and that is my belief.

Faith is part and parcel of all belief.

Even people who commit suicide must have faith that they will put an end to their suffering.

It's all about faith of one sort or another, and that is belief.

Religion confuses people.

Observe the words of this grandmother who believed with all her might that she had to change her grandson into a heterosexual so he would be allowed in "heaven" with "her."
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>

A grandmother shared her heart-breaking story on television. She wanted others to learn from what she believed was her mistake.

She told of her “previous” strict religious indoctrination, that if people were gay they would burn in hell in the hereafter.

When her grandson, whom she adored, came to her and told her he was gay, she was full of fear. She dragged him from one minister to another, who told him that if he did not change his ways, he would not be in heaven.

The grandson begged his grandmother over and over to not try to change him. He tried to convince her that he could not change who he was, but she was so filled with fear for his eternal soul, she paid him no heed.

He took his own life.

She was sobbing with emotion, and said, that if she had it to do over again … just as he was, she would have accepted him. She said she was SO sorry!

What a tough lesson for that poor woman.

Oddly enough Jesus knew that we would. Oddly enough those Corinthians who didnt need to partake and just have a picnic lunch on occasion were getting sick and dying for partaking. It was all symbolic I guess. Paul was bored one day and so thought he would make some stuff up? No Paul was chastizing the Corinthians who were being just like you. However we know that you are the final word on everything in the bible.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

Harry Truman was a Christian who was President of the United States.

When he ordered the bombs to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to save the lives of his own American troops that ended the war, he at least didn't state that a god had ordained his decision. He took it upon his own self as being responsible.

From my perspective, he was doing what a President was hired to do, which was protecting his own people from further attack by the Japanese, who were intent on violence against the United States.

Of course it's not moral to kill ... but I'm sure the American people of that era were relieved rather than appalled.

Let's get real and stop being silly over religious nonsense about "morality."

So-called morality comes and goes with each new situation put before us.

There are admitted Atheist preachers now, who are still on their pulpits preaching what they believe are lies, because these preachers have no other way of supporting their families.

They are not trained in anything but preaching, and so they live lies as their survival and that of their families comes first.

That ought to be a signal to us that morality is not what it seems.

I don't fault them for preaching lies. From my perspective, they were preaching lies all the time, and now that they believe they are preaching lies, they can at least admit it to their selves ... if not to the public that idolizes the lies comparable to children over-dosing on candy.

From the book “Plain Speaking”… Harry S. Truman … by Merle Miller

We had a church in the front yard where the cemetery is now. And the Baptists and the Methodists and all of them used it. And Grandfather Young when I was six years old, he died when I was eight, he told me that whenever the customers in any of those denominations prayed too loud in the Amen corner, you'd better go home and lock your smokehouse.

"And I found that to be true. I've never cared much for the loud pray-ers or for people who do that much going on about religion.
