So there never was any sexual abuse by clergy or coverups by bishops. There never was any investigation of the US nuns by Bishops in america and the vatican. There is no truth to the vatican buying a building (paying more than its worth) that houses the largest gay sauna in Rome where 15 roman catholic priests and one Cardinal reside. The story about the vatican bank money laundering scandal is bogus.
Thankyou HOJO for clearing that up.......
You just "cleared it up" Michael! Exactly. I stated that Vietnamese Cardinal Pham Minh Man would finish last and apparently he did.
Odds makers had Cardinal (who?) Bergoglio at 25 to 1. They picked 15 others ahead of him.
Last night on one of our Canadian tv stations a reporter was standing beside an old couple at the St Peters when the pope was announced. They were unaware that a camera was on them. When the pope was announced you could see them smile and at the same time say "Who??(lol)

Police raids in Belgium and Australia.

Broken relations with Ireland.

Billions paid to victims in the USA.

Yep, free countries with a free press and constitutional legal systems were certainly anti-Catholic for centuries. And they are still today, per the wisdom of hojo.

One would believe Jesus would long for his jewish roots. But catholicism squeezed all the jew out of him and created him for themselves.

Even the statue images have him looking like a school friend of mine from the 60s.

....for some reason the holy spirit has a thing with Italians. Its out of our capable hands.

It must have been the fifth ballot that the holy spirit actually got involved with the voting process, otherwise wouldn't all the cardinals be voting exactly the same way during the first ballot if the holy spirit inspires all of them the same?

Just more of your Protestant "exaggerated garbage" Free Mind" --I can only answer to this BS "broken relations in Ireland" statement. My family and I reside in Ireland for six months each year and YOU, my friend, have absolutely "no idea" as to what you are talking about, which doesn't surprise ANY of us Catholics... What broken relations?... I know for a fact that you are "talking out of the side of your distorted mouth" and furthermore, since this is just "editorial (hyped-up" phony news, you can bet that the rest of your comments, can and will fit neatly "into the trash can"! You "fundies" are really "getting desperate".

Michael says......Interesting! Why then did Cardinal Gomez from Los Angeles just strip all the administrative duties away from Cardinal Mahony? Did Cardinal Gomez just not like Cardinal Mahoney?

Why would the roman catholic church so far pay out nearly $3 BILLION dollars in lawsuits if they are all bogus? Its your money they are spending, aren't you concerned?

We know you love your church, but aren't you just a little concerned about what has been going on within the church?

Cardinals and Bishops on every news channel (as STAR C stated) yesterday talked about the abuse scandals, money laundering scandals in the bank and the 300 secret page dossier of Pope Benedict. I saw Chris Cauomo from CNN talking about these issues yesterday.

You should write to all those bishops/cardinals and the news networks and tell them to stop spreading lies.

Roman Catholic Cardinal Keith O'brien resigns over sexual abuse of 4 catholic priests.

First the Cardinal lied like Jodi Arias and then finally came clean that he was guilty.

The most senior roman catholic official in the United Kingdom.

No where on the internet are there any bad stories about me. I must be doing something very right, and these guys doing something very wrong.

.....but again! HOJO corrects us that all these stories are false.

Peace & Love to hojo too.

I stand corrected. Ireland did not break diplomatic relations entirely, as I mistakenly implied.

Ireland closed their embassy at the Vatican "for economic reasons."

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/11/04/us-...

Next... the Vatican took the highly unusual step of recalling its ambassador to Ireland after Prime Minister Enda Kenny accused the Holy See of obstructing investigations into sexual abuse by priests.

"The Irish parliament passed a motion deploring the Vatican's role in "undermining child protection frameworks" following publication of a damning report on the diocese of Cloyne."

"The Cloyne report said Irish clerics concealed from the authorities the sexual abuse of children by priests as recently as 2009, after the Vatican disparaged Irish child protection guidelines in a letter to Irish bishops."

Hojo needs to stop blaming all others for his spiritual failures.

"... for ye shall know them by their deeds."

Hey, its a vast improvement from the 5th C. when a conclave member was beaten in order to make sure his choice was "the correct one".

"Once the theological debate got underway, things went from bad to worse. When one side of the debate didn’t feel that things were going their way, a group of monks, accompanied by a gang of militia, proceeded to take over the debate by force. Threatening everyone with their life, they took a blank piece of paper and made the bishops all sign it. They planned to later simply put what they wanted on the blank section. After they got the signatures, they turned to their leading opponent, Flavian, and cried out,“Slaughter him!” Immediately a band of monks proceeded to beat the bishop so badly that he died a few days later."

Jesus Christ the Lord opened up the door to heaven (fact is He is the door)...

The Roman Catholic Church does not have the authority to shut that door

on any one..

Only by a man's own personal decision ....can he shut the door upon himself..by personally rejecting Jesus Christ as His personal Lord and Savior.

No other entity upon earth can make his decision for Him...or separate from the Love of God...

The Roman Catholic Church cannot separate any one from God's Love

neither can they have the authority EXCOMMUNICATE keep any one out of Heaven..

NO MATTER WHAT THEY CLAIM....

THE BIBLE SAYS

Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
