To use God's Holy Name , outside of worship, Praise, and in an honorable way is speak Gods name in vain.
To use God's name in a sentence were it is use for cursing or curse words are used , or in anger,.

As it Goes, and I put it on my wall at home.

His name is more then just a swear word, a more then I don't care word.

You must be a protestant. Catholics believe Jesus never had siblings. They were all cousins. Sorry for the bad news.

Over centuries MILLIONS of people from far away lands never heard of Jesus, are they going to hell because of that?

Its all FEARFUL nonsense.....

Aviela says.,..

..He came to die for us.

Michael says.......If you read your bible closely you will see that a small group of people determined the fate of a man named Jesus. They were given a choice JESUS OR BARABAS.....RIGHT? What would have happened if the crowd had screamed BARABAS instead of JESUS? How would christianity have started then?

The bible stories claim that just a short time before the crucifixion Jesus performed many miracles for thousands of jews like himself. Stories in the bible claim thousands of people loved this man followed him in great groups it was like JESUSMANIA yet a very short time later they were screaming for his death.

What happened in that short time between the miracles and his crucifixion that changed everyones minds?

...not meant to offend but...

Personally I don't believe any of these stories because they make no common sense.

LOL I love their cole slaw, and their veggie salad which they have stopped making. I am not a big hamburger person but I do eat one from time to time but I make them myself, I like the New York Fries a lot . I watch the gravy however to much MSG in it.

<quoted text> Hi Micheal, if you read the good book you will learn all about the different personalities.
Tell me? Why are NONE of these different personalities or characters in the bible, not ever written about ANYWHERE ELSE?

Why does our world history not mention a miracle man named Jesus, except referring to the bible?

Why did NOT ONE of the many jewish/roman writers of that era ever write about a man named Jesus, not ANYONE from the entire mediteranean ever mentions a man Jesus who performed many miracles and was crucified? We have nothing in any of their writings. Devastating! wouldn't you say?

....something is terribly wrong!

You are right. A man looking like that would certainly standout in 1st century Israel.
Details. Details. Details. Who needs details?
The catholic church does NOT state that the shroud of Turin is the actual burial cloth of a man named Jesus. They don't know but claim it to be a church relic.

Wouldn't one believe by now the Holy Spirit would have informed the Pope that its real or its not?

As do my brothers and sisters in Christ...Anthony, Robert, Clay, Hojo, Dust Storm, Star, etc. I have no need to change it to stroke my ego, i.e. Protestantism.
So no need to worry about me. I'm in the church Christ founded, all is well! Yes, that's right, it's in scripture!
JETHRO:you state "I'm in the church Christ founded, all is well! Yes, that's right, it's in scripture!" JETHRO: would you mind posting this scripture that says the catholic church is the right church, the one christ built? and who saw him build it?
Jesus Church is A Spiritual one built one soul at a time.
It was not built with the hands of man but by the Holy Spirit .
the true alter of God is in the Heart and Soul of Gods people.

Edited for space..

When I was young and our family attended mass, at the end of mass, it was a log jam in the isles of people pushing out the front doors. There would be the smokers lighting up, and always a couple old ladies talking the ear off of the parish priest about some muffins she was going to bake for him, and the rest of the crowd dispersed within a few minutes.

There was always a few old ladies who stayed back and prayed some more hoping to attain more grace for their grand total.

A friend of mine who has been a life long member says the high water mark years were in the late 1960s and since then he says attendance right across the city has dropped steadily.

Back in the day 3 sunday masses, 3 parish priests, 1 saturday night mass.

....TODAY, no parish priest, 1 sunday mass, 1 saturday night mass, and most attendees are old grey haired people. Few children attend.

....times are changing quickly.

I hope you are feeling well Jethro.

There is a lot of turmoil going on within the church today.

There has always been disgruntled catholics, but just recently NOW we have 47,000 nuns in america battling the vatican, priests forming associations (unions)in many countries in just the past 3 years, claim they are tired of being kicked around by their bishops and they support the nuns.

The USA priest association is called the AUSCP.

A lot of discontent within the church today. Even the popes butler who stole "secret documents" from the pope stated their is much corruption within the hirearchy.

When I mention this news to catholics they don't get upset with the ones causing the problems, they get upset at me for telling the truthful stories.(lol)

And what is the coincidence of the 1960's turning point?
The sexual revolution began. That generation ushered in a whole new mindset that was void of God. Today is the fruits of their free minds.

I think it happened once before like that...in Sodom and Gomorrah. The end result won't be good.

You keep missing the main point of your argument. If many former catholics speak out against the church, the nuns and vatican are in battle mode, priests around the world are forming associations because they have been kicked around by their leaders, and the main stream media speaks against the church..........YOU HAVE TO BE ASKING WHY? Why are so many people speaking out against the church?
Because people have lost their way.

What is the Church supposed to do? Change all their teachings because the new culture demands it!!
Sorry Mike, you must have them confused with the Evangelicals. The Church will fade to a 100 members before they'll adhere to outside influence. The dogma can't be changed and never will.
The Holy Spirit will see the Church through any difficult times...He always has in every century since its founding in 33 AD.
Heck, nothing today can compare to every Priest Bishop and Pope being rounded up and killed!
If THAT didn't stop them then nothing will - when Christ promised to be with you til the end.

The AUSCP makes up about 2% of the US Catholic priest population and about 0.2% of priests in the world.

"Dissenting American priests have organized an association to protest Church teaching, complain about faithful priests, bishops, cardinals, and the pope, sing songs, hang out, etc."
