BILLY GRAHAM
Dear Mrs. Dixon:
Thank you for your good letter of February 18,(year unknown). I am sorry for the delay in answering, but I have been in the West Indies and am leaving in a few days for Puerto Rico where I will be conducting a series of meetings.
Indeed, my wife and I have followed your writings with the greatest possible interest. In several of my sermons I have quoted from A GIFT OF PROPHECY. We have heard from several mutual friends that you are indeed a woman of God, and we thank God for you.
Recently, in Jamaica, we became acquainted with Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan, whom I believe you know. They have promised to give us the joy and thrill of meeting you on some future trip to Washington. The Jean Dixon Special Receipt is excellent.
With warmest personal greetings, I am
Cordially Yours,
Billy Graham
End of letter
Satanic prophet and fortune teller Jean Dixon recently went to her reward, and she was warmly received I am sure. How is it that Jean Dixon was "a woman of God" to Billy Graham? He had to know her preference for Satan over Jehovah.

Just keep in mind..

That Jesus said....

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

YOUR TURN BEFORE THE JUDGE IS COMING...

HE SAID...

Mat_5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

YOU ARE ONE UNMERCIFUL WICKED PERSON...WITH YOUR TABLOID GOSSIP COLUMN.

Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Michael says....the catholic hierarchy continues to make itself an embarrassing media spectacle, in a society today, that long ago refused to accept the teaching on birth control, stands up for and believes in women's equality, and increasingly supports same-sex marriage as now voted on and allowed in many states.
....Cathoic Church leaders seem hell-bent on disenfranchising the greatest number of laity possible.
The church leaders should be commended, as they are doing a great job at this.
Is the roman catholic church too big to fail?
They are doing their damndest to try anyway!
UNBELIEVABLE!
So you think the problems in today's society are the result of the Catholic Church's refusal to condone abortion, birth control and gay marriage.

It seems to me Mike that when one considers the long term effect of such a society, the Catholic Church is doing the correct thing for purposes of self preservation. If all your gay friends get married, all of your feminist friends use birth control and have a bunch of abortions, it will take maybe a generation or two for your crowd to die out. Keep pushing your agenda Mike, it helps the Church!!!

I am convinced more than ever that persecution is the only thing that will separate the sheep from the goats. If those believers in prisons, and labor camps in various countries hostile to Christ, believed that it does not matter what you believe in the way of religion,if you are good and believe you can have Christ, even if you never know or hear His Name, than why suffer in prison or a re-education camp?
Buddhists in Myanmar are persecuting the Karen Christians, what is the point of being persecuted for Christ,if in fact those Buddhists do not really need to hear the Gospel?
If what Billy Graham said in the interview with Robert Schuller is true, than all those believers who languish in prisons and labor camps for preaching Christ, are wasting their time.Besides it is not our role on this earth to declare who is saved and who is not,but to present the Gospel of Christ, which shows men how to be saved.
I cannot even judge Billy Graham here, and his words will have to be judged by God alone.Only God our Father is JUDGE,and we cannot condemn any man or woman.
The Gospel declares that Jesus Christ died for all human beings, and that they should be given the opportunity to receive Him by faith, but they need to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. The challenge for all human beings is to take the risk and follow Christ,in order to find out about His salvation.Unless people do such, they will die in their sins.
Pad good friend

I know what you mean, but I think we must expand our definition of being a Christian into more metaphysical surroundings....

More or less, people of faith are going to be those promised to Abraham in Gen12:1-3(...in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.). And these go to Abraham's bosom, and are continuing to do so to this day.

So we must be more inclusive as to who is saved by God....Now those that hear the message, and ignore, or reject it is one thing. But for instance, if a Christian sees in another, poor in spirit, yet being pitiful, hurt, but living by faith, and being charitable with the things he owns, is that not the Image of God?

Before we think badly of some preacher, such as Billy Graham because of his beliefs, and experience, we need much introspection as to how much we are a service to the Kingdom of God.

Christianity is not some group in this world....There are plenty of those to go around, be they individuals, clans, tribes, nations, religions, empires, kingdoms. So Christiantiy needn't and doesn't act like other groups of people. It does not need anything but God, and His Grace. And for those persecuted for the sake of the Kingdom of God, we pray for, and share in their sufferings. It is not other religions that persecute, rather it is the world, and those of the world.

I think faith is inclusive, and not exclusive....For Christians must be known by their love, and not their abilities, and accomplishments in this world.

When I went to catechism class, there was no salvation for Protestants.
**Who cares..why does that bother you? Doesn't bother me.
Heck - the Pope had to make a special rule for JFK, so he could attend Protestant churches even if just for ceremonial or political purposes.
**what does this have to do with our discussion?
Yep, not so long ago, Prots were next to the devil and the Jews killed Jesus.
**No they are and no they didn't.
This is a Topix Board. Why are you so angry and full of insults.

Michael and I share what we were taught in our RCC churches. Yes, much has changed since the 60's and early 70's, but that doesn't change historical facts.

You claimed in effect that you never encountered any animosity towards Protestants. I encountered plenty and noted that Catholics weren't even allowed to attend a Protestant church -- by pointing out that the Pope had to make an exception for JFK.

That's not exactly embracing Protestants as Christian brothers.

I guess you just don't make a connection.

PS -- my young Protestant friends had no restrictions on attending RCC Mass with me, but I couldn't reciprocate. I used to wonder what the RCC had to fear?

On topic, no real one-true church would ever need to fear competing ideas.

Believing there is an invisible man somewhere?? up in the clouds above, all day long looking down smiling at his creation, needs a lot more than religion (lol)
An invisible man creates 10 rules that you must follow. If you don't follow even one of these rules and say you are sorry, the the inivisble man after you die will send your soul to a fire pit of heat and flames, torture, more heat, pain and suffering..........but this invisible man loves you!

There IS a God that you cannot see, because our vision cannot manage it.
Your physical eyes can only see about 3 % of the available light.

What is so bad about creating people who are capable of living/doing good, then judging them by whether they can/will do what they are designated to do. If they are wicked (I don't mean accidentally run a traffic light), what would be wrong about keeping them out of heaven.
He has given US the choice. I can't think of one more wicked that the one who would reject that choice. Do you want to spend eternity with Hitler...and a few others I could mention? I don't.

Yes. I agree with you and B.G. here, that God made everything good. Even Lucifer was brilliant, and can appear as such today. What we may surmise though is that God created angels to have free-will as well humanity. It is just that they are in the eternal realm, yet they may influence the world, and may by God's Will, He permits them to interact with humanity.

If you truly believe we must be more inclusive as to who is saved by God, then why be Catholic?

The RCC even today has a very narrow view.

http://www.agapebiblestudy.com/documents/Is%2...

Speaking of non-Catholics -- "to obtain salvation under those conditions is very difficult."

In other words, the RCC now graciously admits that a Protestant might go to Heaven, because in the end, it's all up to God -- but the RCC today says it is very difficult.

Wow, that's enlightened. 500 years ago, it was impossible.

Get real -- like the Highest Power in the Universe really cares into which religion you were indoctrinated?

Despite all the double-speak, that's still the fundamental RCC position.
