BINGO!!!!
You sin for a few weeks, you pop into the confessional the priest resets your sin-o-meter back to 0000's, and you start all over again.
Why would catholics tell a strange priest their entire history of all their wrong doings when they wouldn't even tell their loving wife what they have been doing wrong?
Beats me.....don't sin and you have nothing to confess but being unclean from being in the world....

Jesus is the Bread of Life. "I am the living bread come down from heaven." Bread is food, yes? Mangers were food troughs used to feed animals. The symbolism is that Jesus, our Bread, the food for our souls, was placed in a manger, a feeding trough. It also spoke to His humility and poverty. The Christian faith is very rich and multi-layered, exquisitely beautiful.
Marge, this ties into the Eucharist that is the actual body and blood of Christ. We literally feed on Him. I know you don't believe in this but it's just one more layer of beauty to contemplate and bring us closer to God. When you think about it, scripture comes full circle. There's really no beginning or end, just fulfillment after fulfillment. Infinite, just like God. He calls to His creation ceaselessly.

Anthony I didn't add anything I just posted what the Bible said In Luke. Then posted the definition of a manger, which is a trough that animals eat out of.
The Angel told the shepherd that Jesus would be laying in a manger, which is inside a stable.
Some people actually believe the manger is the stable it self.
the Angels could have been singing or they could have just stated.
About Jesus birth. Does it matter?? the Angel's brought the Good News that a Savior was born, and were they would find HIM.
The man who wrote the carol, wrote a beautiful song and had the angels sing the Good News message to the shepherds.
No it doesn't matter if they were singing or speaking.

Kay denied being a trouble maker a few days ago. She came here this morning mocking the pope when she was ignorant of the facts. In my book that's a trouble maker.

Typo? It was well earned sarcasm, based on the never ending trash which you so called Christians post with no regard at all for the truth, reason or fairness. I guess you missed the rotfl, but that it went over your head is no surprise. Isn't that cute? Now you can resume your innuendo and false witness as it is what you do best.

Some sarcasm of my own: I LOVE the complimentary way you folks speak of others. If I disagree with you, I can express my POV, without calling you names. But that is because we've been taught to respect the human creation...not to shame it.

And of course, Jesus being placed in a manger (feedbox) has NO special symbolism whatever...

And Regina says it does, because it was a feeding trough (bread box). We know that Jesus is The Bread if Life.

Wow.

All this over a book (which I admit, I have not seen yet) that seems to be encouraging people to be sure to rely on the scriptures for their understanding, rather than on misconceptions based on popular expression, such as hymns or nativity scenes.(Of course, no Protestants would use a nativity scene, as this would be a form of idolatry.)
.
Can't really see the pope trying to encourage people to become more familiar with what the scriptures actually SAY.

Let's all make snide comments about him. What an IDIOT!

Not that this would apply to anyone on THIS forum, of course.)

Oh yeah complimentary stuff like some nun who was behind a curtain didnt think she could be seen and drank all the wine. lol All your little stories painting pictures of some Priest or Catholic may have done because its your Christian duty to air dirty laundry unlike your sinless congregation. ;0 Your husband is rich with slanderous comments as well. Your attempt to diminish the Pope today with sensationalism is another one of your fine Christian examples because you respect the human creation and don't shame it. ROTFL Get real for once in your life you white washed tomb.

You attempted to shame the pope and Catholics on the board this morning by mocking what he wrote in his book, and you were proven to not know what you were talking about. Who taught you to do that?

Why?

This morning you were surfing the web and happened to come across an article about the pope's new book. You could've studied it a bit more and come to the realization that, in fact, scripture doesn't say the angels were singing. Instead you chose to make a sarcastic post about him.

More proof that you like to stir up trouble.

here is a link that shows the cave built into the side of a hill.there would not have been any sheep since the Bible speaks of the Shepherds.
and possibly no reasons for them to be inside anyway since this cave could have been provided for the guests, and any animal they might ahve brought, not necessarily the owners.

there are images of Mary, the is an image of Jesus, there are images of saints. You claim Mary and the saints are in heaven, we already know Jesus is.

Because you didn't just "mention" it. You said it was recorded in scripture, that the Pope changed it. LTM high-fived you. You were both wrong. An apology would be nice.

at least soem people have come to that same conclusion that I have.

I have said time and time again that I have to DEFEND myself against his attacks and as soon as he comes on here, he attacks me, just as he did today.

Yesterday was so nice not having him and his wife throwing lies and slurs arond constantly.
your nick gien to him and are fit them pefectly.

Ananias and Saphriria.

One lies and the other agrees to it.there is NO way that they ahve studed the Bible for 125 , both are very ignorant.
when a person states the Truth, they do not hav e to go back and change their story constantly, that is the Mark of a Liar.

How can you tell if someone is a pathological liar?

•Obviously, they will contradict what they say. This will become very clear over time. They usually aren't smart enough to keep track of so many lies (who would be?).

Another WikiAnswers contributor adds:

•They lie about even the smallest things. For example, saying "I brushed my teeth today," when they didn't.
•They add exaggerations to every sentence.
•They change their story all the time.
•They act very defensively when you question their statements.
•They believe what they say is true, when everyone else knows it isn't.

this fits Saphriria perfectly, remember the story about the nun and the wine.
