Full story: ABC News

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, today argued against electing a pope from the United States because the pontiff would be conflicted about delivering the "spiritual challenge" that a superpower needs from time to time.

whether we like or not the new pope will surely come form the united state of America, if surely I'm not mistaken this will be last pope in whom the prophecy of revelation will be fulfill. we know that the world economy lies in the hand of the catholic church, this is the church that has been around back to the time of the apostles. they are spiritual strong. you see America is build in more easy way the back bone of America is the catholic church, and no matter how much they try and denies this, evidence are there to back this up, during the great depression Americans were in trouble and their borrowed money from the Venetians, no to over come this the Venetians will need someone who can more of a puppet for their benefit, this is why they need one who will help to fulfill this. and the first order will be to allow homosexual in all the churches doesn't matter what religious it is, second the will be one currency through out the world, this can only e done if the so called world power who is living upon borrowed money, has one of theirs as a leader of the catholic church.

..... It's unlikely to happen, but if Jesus would be here then very likely he would insist on the new pope to follow Jesus' lifestyle and the teachings only of Jesus, ignoring those of all others, and enforcing that on ALL members everywhere.
..... By the way, Jesus never celebrated a mass, nor even attended one.

It is doubtful the Pope will come from the United States. Would you like to make a wager on this one?

Revelation is a mythological fantasy.

No, the economics of the world have little to do with the Catholic Church.

Most Americans are Protestant rather than Catholic. You are mistaken.

Yes, we will have equal civil rights for all including homosexuals.

There will be no common currency in the immediate future because trading currencies is profitable to many.

You haven't gotten much right here so far. You may want to study more and learn why.
