They must be the ones who don't complain about having to wear dresses, er... robes.

They've been going on for about 15 years. You don't think the decline in the number of clergy is just due to natural causes, do you?

I personally know a former priest who was purged about a dozen years ago. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. Conscientious, honorable, and hounded out by the bishop because he was gay. His terrible treatment was the final straw that let me know that the catholic church was no place for me.(I finally came to question religion as a whole, and found it wanting.)

That's a great movie. Really underrated and Lemmon is excellent in it.

I saw the play in New York. It was either the late 70's or early 80's, and I think Eric Roberts played the younger priest. If I remember it correctly it wasn't a long-running play.

I didn't know that it was a play. I don't tend to read credits, or reviews.

Let's hope it makes the cardinals review those
"Clobber Passages" and the understanding of "Eunuchs" in the first century, then accept LGBTs fully as themselves, not a group with a "development disorder."

If the pope urges purge, then many will leave the church who are good Christians, I fear.

I don't either, usually. I went to the play only because I was visiting a friend in New York, and he was hosting myself and 2 other people. I wasn't even aware of the play until he produced the tickets.

Pope Benedict personlly handed the book to Pope Frances about the homosexual mole community.

And now we know the truth about the molestations: the Church's initial finding was that homosexuals did it; the final report laughably changed that to the 1960s and Rock and Roll did it--even the NY Times says homosexuals did it.
