The most interesting thing about the Pope's resignation is the question of how long he will be allowed to live after he retires - it's hard to imagine the RC hierarchy being prepared to have two popes living under the one roof, so to speak. I suspect that someone from Opus Dei will enter the old bloke's quarters under cover of night, and off him, making it look like an accident or natural causes.

You can just imagine the file of nubile choirboys being escorted to the papal boudoir every day, although the old bloke probably doesn't get many erections, unless by divine inspiration !

Your comments reveal more about your own sexual fantasies than they do about the Pope. The Pope retired because his health is failing and he can't travel anymore. He saw what happened with his predecessor and didn't want the same thing to happen with him. Don't know why that's so hard for people to comprehend.

Just the same old bs you here from the catholic church. They have too many gay priest and they can not control it anymore. This is not a slam against the pope he probably a great man but he is sick of the lying priest under his watch. Thats why they need to change the rules of priest getting married and having kids you can not subpress sexually feeling for ever. Sooner or later you have to have some sexually release or you go crazy. Just my feeling about all this soap opa going on in the catholic church.

I doubt he'd resign or get fired for that reason. It seems to be Catholic policy to use church funds to pay off the victims and transfer the child molester to another location.

I hate to burst your bubble but the pope resigned because a so far unnamed European country applied for an arrest warrant against Ratzinger and the seizure of Vatican assets for child trafficking. He also reportedly asked the Italian prime minister to guarantee his immunity from arrest.

The New York Post and The New York Daily News are both reporting that he resigned due to the developing scandal where the Vatican report details all sorts of sexual and financial improprieties. My guess is that he is implicated in it all, if not by overt action, then by at least covering it all up. Thank God I'm not a Catholic.

The Pope knew this was going on and it sickness me that he will go unpunished in all of this. And all said in done nothing will happen so the true victims get no justice from all this. It's just so very sad.

You could attend a nice Protestant church if you wish to. I've really liked nearly all the Protestant pastors I've known over the years. The Truth is that the sexual molestation of children seems to be ingrained in the Roman Catholic Church, and obviously has been for decades, if not centuries. There does not ever seem to be many of this type of scandal in Protestant churches. And the resaon for that is because each Protestant church hires the pastor, and they are not thrust upon them by a higher authority, as is the case of the RCC.

Yes you are right you have not of Protestant churches about a scandal.Right now I will see if the Roman Catholic Church fixes there problems and helps the authority imprison the persons responsible of these terrible acts on our youth.

I was abused by a so called Roman Catholic Priest when i was only 8 Years of age, It Ruined my life i Attempted Suicide on several Occasions, getting flash backs from the abuse is reliving the abuse all over again, A lot of people have left the RC Charch since the abuse was made public, and papers from the charch still not handed over , Priest from Ireland are sent to England to Private Clinics to be treated for Alcoholism and Priest from the UK sent to Ireland for the same treatment, Who are the Kidding Pardon the pun, These Priest cannot be Treated or Cured as i have researched this problem, The only answer i can give you to stop this Abuse is to Surgically remove the PENIS and bob,s you're uncle they will think about it but can do nothing about it,I looked for no Compensation from the RC Church as it's dirty money from scum bag Priests.
