Mistaken? This kid wanted this intentionally. She started this mess with the ICE, US, and Colombia by her own doing. If it was the other way, thousands of runaways would be deported everyday. They don't go out of their way to commit fraud with officials.

The big question is: Why did she feel a need to runaway and tell all these lies? A need to intentionally scam everyone? What kind of failures are her family to drive a kid to do this?
