A Bishop And A Rabbi ...

Feb 28, 2013 Full story: WNYC-AM New York 18
Benedict XVI is stepping down, and soon a new Pope will become spiritual leader to the world’s Catholics. He’ll also become administrator of a vast bureaucracy with hundreds of thousands of employees and vast real estate holdings. WNYC asked two religious leaders based in New York to reflect on the management challenges of leading a faith organization in the 21st century ... Full Story

from WNYC-AM New York:

"Katharine Jefferts Schori is the presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, the U.S. branch of the world Anglican church, with just under two million members ...

"'Everybody who’s in the Episcopal church today wants to be here,' Jefferts Schori said ..."

... because the other 2 million members left under Schori's terrible tenure as PB.

According to WNYC, with fewrer members, many Episcopal churches were sold, and TEC might sell its headquarters at 815 Second Avenue as well.

LMAO!!!....

What are you doing on these threads, Joe DeCaro? Why are you here? What purpose do you serve?

You post the first response to a new thread topic and you fill your response with completely off-topic innuendos and outright bald-faced lies.

What for, Joe?

Did you see the quotes.

Also from WNYC-AM New York:

"With a fewer members, many houses of worship were sold. Last year, it was reported that the church might sell its headquarters at 815 Second Avenue. Jefferts Schori said the building is not for sale, but church leaders are studying the 'best use' of the building ..."

The better question is: what is RevKen still doing in TEC? One can only surmise that he agrees with KJ-S. That is the only clear explanation for his diminutive theological brain.

LOL!!!....

I didn't accuse you of anything!

I wrote the facts! It is YOU who refuses to answer or write with the Truth.

The article itself documents the loss of 250,000 members. What do you write with your response? 2 Million!

I didn't write that you furnished the article. I wrote that you posted the first response and that it was full of your usual disrespectful, disingenuous, erroneous Baloney!

Furthermore, after considering the sale of the new York office building, the decision was made to keep it and reorganize part of the tenancy to improve its use. That is in the article, too. But, your mind is so closed to such content that you can't comprehend it.

Those are the facts.

Oh, Baloney!

Yes, I am still in The Episcopal Church. Yes, I have clearly enjoyed the time and conversations that I have had with PB Katherine Jeffeerts-Schori and do agree with her on most things.

And as for any particular dimunition, how would you know, since you are most generally incapable of listening to either anything theological or of the brain and generally not of both at the same time?

I didn't say your name is Roboblogger! I didn't imply it. I didn't ask anyone to infer that.

YOU were the one to post the first response to the Roboblogger thread topic above.

You responded with warped statistics and outright misrepresentations and negativity without cause.

BULLONEY!

Here is what you copied and what you wrote:

from WNYC-AM New York:

"Katharine Jefferts Schori is the presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, the U.S. branch of the world Anglican church, with just under two million members ...

{This part is copied from the WNYC-AM piece)

'Everybody who’s in the Episcopal church today wants to be here,' Jefferts Schori said ...

YOU added:

"... because the other 2 million members left under Schori's terrible tenure as PB."

(THAT is what YOU wrote.) But, paragraph #4 of the article reads as follows: "Over the next four years, almost a quarter of a million congregants departed, leaving a church that’s about ten percent smaller - and more harmonious."

Your statistic was a misrepresentation of the truth and a dismissal of the statistic presented in the article.
Your claim above, that the stats are from the article, is a lie.

You quoted and wrote further as follows:

"According to WNYC, with fewrer members, many Episcopal churches were sold, and TEC might sell its headquarters at 815 Second Avenue as well."

ANOTHER misrepresentation on YOUR part. The article reported that TEC had considered selling the office building. But, instead, we chose to keep it and adjust the utilization of the space in order to achieve a "best use."

The tenor of your post #1 above is negativity backed with misrepresentation and lies.

What is the reason for your persistent false witnessing?

Joey,

Your ignorance and assinine comments don't go anywhere near where you would hope.

YOU said the 2 million were lost as a result of PB Katherine Jefferts-Schori.

LOL!!!.... Not True.

Besides, where did the two million go, Joe? They surely didn't end up in YOUR back yard.

"In my Father's house, there are many mansions ..."

There is no substance to your claims.

Our Church will be fine without you, Joe. Of course, if you change your mind, you will be welcome to join us.

Might want to consider an attitude adjustment, too. Right now, you don't give the impression that you are really a happy camper.

Back to Anglicanism, and as for Schori, the Wall Street Journal's Jay Akasie described Jefferts Schori as a "secretive and authoritative ... potentate" leading the denomination over a cliff.

Wrong again, Joe.

If you were so good with statistics and facts, which you obviously are not, you could show that the recipients of the two million that have left The Episcopal Church (that is YOUR statistic, BTW) are all now comfortably ensconced in alternative expressions of Anglicanism.

But, of course, this you cannot do.

Why can't you do this? Well,..... it is because you are lying about things, again.

Shouldn't ought to do that, Joe. Not good for you. Stuff like that adds up on you over time and will likely lead to a reckoning, of sorts.

Not wishing such a reckoning on you. Just giving you a "heads up."

As for the description of PB KJS in the opinion expressed by Akasie, he is welcome to his opinion and he may actually be right to a degree. Nobody ever said her job and the circumstances were going to be a cake-walk. In our opinion, she is doing a great job.

But, the "cliff" that Akasie is actually talking about is, unfortunately for those who would try to hold onto their hypocrisies and bigotry, the refuge of the absconders. It is reserved for those who would leave, renouncing TEC, while both taking and eating their cake, expecting to not be held accountable.

I think we will let the lawyers take their cut.

The Wall Street Journal deals more with the "bottom line" than with morality.
