Pope Francis Has History of Anti-Gay Decisions

Mar 13, 2013 Full story: EDGE 35

In unadorned white robes, the first pope from the Americas sets a tone of simplicity and pastoral humility in a church desperate to move past the tarnished era of abuse scandals and internal Vatican upheavals.

The Roman Catholic Church does NOT believe in Freedom of Religion, nor the separation of church and state.

For these 2 reasons alone, they are UN-American.

They have never been in favor of equal rights for us, nor many other people, so we certainly shouldn't expect this Pope to be any different than past popes.

If you are not a Catholic, like me (I'm a church-going Protestant), then I say to completely ignore this new pope and anything the Roman Catholic Church says.

If you ARE a Catholic, unlike me (I'm a church-going Protestant), then I ask you: WHY ???

I'm not sure what the word "ignore" means in homosexual thinking. Does "ignore" actually mean that you will not attack him?

And an ADDITIONAL stab in thw back from The Obamaniac and his cohorts !

The Obamaniac is sending Joe Biden "to lead the U.S. delegation to next week's formal installation of Pope Francis." !!!

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

WE ARE A SECULAR REPUBLIC !

NEVER before in all of American history has a POTUS sent a delegation to The Vatican for ANY reason !

In fact, until just a couple of decades ago, for well more than 100 years, federal law ABSOLUTELY PROHBITED diplomatic relations with The Vatican because doing so IS A VIOLATION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT !!!

The Obamaniac is UN-AMERICAN !!!

The question is where will he direct church funds, to the poor or to fight marriage equality.

With some of those funds probably going to redecorate and expand that gay establishment the church owns.

What else but anti-gay decisions can he promote? As long as he adheres to a book full of lies and tales concocted to manipulate the ignorant he has to go along with what's been rightly called " the human comedy " .. As the world's ablest director of a preposterous play he can do nothing else ..

It's hardly surprising that the new Pope is anti-gay; I wasn't expecting him to be a human rights advocate. Are they ever?

What remains to be seen is if, and how, he will address all the problems he has inherited, particularly the on-going sexual abuse scandals. I'm also very interested to see what kind of relationship he'll have with his new personal secretary (and ex-Pope Benedict's live-in companion), Monsignor Georg Gaenswein.

Isn't there some prophecy that this pope will be the last one? Sounds good to me!

Anti-gay? And he picks "Francis" as his new name?

Gimmee a break. Look for more boy enjoyers getting off easy.

Get the grassroots out and campaign for me, Pope Bubba the 1st! The 1st People's Pope! The 1st Pope picked by the people that love him, not some crusty old farts stuck in a little room with a wood-burning stove!

I'm Pope Bubba the 1st, and I approved this message.

The Catholic religion is the last great Pagan religion. Where people still worship wooden crosses, statues, paintings, and anything that resembles the illusion they have as to how God looks.

It will bethe same old same old from the Church that Christ founded: BOTH feeding the poor AND resisting the redefinition of marriage.

So he's anti-gay because he opposed the redefinition of marriage. Yet, you can't let it go without implying that he is probably gay.

Hmmm...that makes anti-sense.

He can "define" marriage any way he wants to as long as it applies to the Roman catholic Church of which he is the Supreme Leader.

He does NOT have the right to try to push his narrow religious views on secular, multi-religious, multi-ethnic, democratic republics such as the U.S.A.
