No, I don't; and no I won't.
I say it's not taught in the Bible.

If you believe it is, then you might want to try backing it up.

What divides Catholics and Protestants is that Catholics have Cellars and Protestants have Basements!

Catholics also have the holy Mother of God, God's greatest creation.

I didn't know the Amish had Internet service. Welcome to the 21st Century. Then again, maybe you're a Mennonite...

Mary was "ONLY" the Mother of the earthly Jesus, she was not the Mother of God or the Holy Spirit. For God himself has no mother..

And Eve IS actually the Mother of all the living, for she was the first mother God himself created..

And speaking of Mary, Protestants regard her as a good and God-fearing woman. but outside of Christmas and Easter, she is never spoken about in Protestant churches i have attended. and over the past few decades, I have attended Lutheran churches for 40 years, UCC church for more than 10 years, and also Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian and Episcopal churches. She is never mentioned in those Protestant churches from my personal experience.

I use the KJV, the NKJV, and the ASV. If I have a problem with any of the translations, then I go to the Hebrew and Greek Lexicons or dictionaries. Regardless of which version one uses, the errors or mistranslations should not be significant enough to change the meaning over much.
Now, if you are asking me about whether or not one should use a Bible with the Septuagint, then I would say that my answer will not matter at this point, because the Catholics will say that it's necessary, while everyone else will probably say it isn't. Regardless, it's a pretty subjective quandary that won't be resolved anytime soon.

xOxOx...Are you serious about the Catholic Church being 300 years old?? With all due respect, how did you arrive at that??
Ya gotta take into consideration when folks like Louise come on kind of strong is because our church(the Catholic Church) is so misrepresented and then laughed at by, obviously, Catholic bashers, who do the misrepresenting, it's not easy hearing these lies. Belittling our faith has been an industry for hundreds of years.
Considering the Catholic Church has been around for what we believe is 2000 years, with billions and billions of members, there have been many scandles in our church. To read garbage like married priests aren't allowed to have sexual relations with their wives, as unbelievable as that is, some will read it and believe it to be true.
Slow down Nelly. Sorry, I have had to repeat the same thing for that poster so many times that I misspoke. The Catholic Church was created 300 years after the death of Christ. I'm not that dense.

This "Mary-worship" seems to be peculiar only to the Roman Catholic Church and I believe it's heresy as I think most or all Protestant churches, and Orthodox churches would agree.

That's my point. The Roman Catholic Church just makes things up. Like the Doctrine of The Immaculate Conception. they proclaimed that as dogma only about 150 years ago.

And it's totally unsupported by scripture.

Yet the Roman Catholic Church tries to impose it's views on Catholics, Protestants, and non-Christians alike by pressuring U.S. elected officials.

I'll tell you another thing they did recently which I think most people would regard as sick, and they did it here on Long island where i live.

They put on display the heart of one of their "holy men". this is NOT a joke ! they toured this 200 year old heart, removed from a corpse, and paraded it around the country and asked people to worship by it. This was about 2 years ago.

And they just did something similar about a week ago, by disinterring a corpse of another one of their "holy men" in Rome and putting that corpse on public display for people to come and worship by it.

if anyone else did this, it would be called "sick and criminal" and they would be arrested.

i'm NOT making this up. this just happened a few days ago. look it up if you don't beleive me.

See what I mean, It doesn't really matter if the bible says, Jesus made the church first, the New Testament came second. His church decided it would be better if priests did not marry. Thanks for clearing that up.
There is over one billion Catholics and about one billion Protestants in a world of six billion, not billions and billions of members as olderthandirt wrote. And strangely enough there are some that think because they are the oldest and biggest they are the best. They are proud to be part of a organization that is responsible for more misery than any dictator, king or empire. But there's plenty of blame to go around, I'm not prejudiced, I dislike all churches. If the Lutheran Church had been around as long as the Catholic Church, I'm sure it would be a tie game. What Divides Catholics and Protestants?
Protestants attempt to find truth in the bible, Catholics listen to a man in Rome.
Attempting to find the truth does not mean they found the truth.

"There are almost as many sects and beliefs as there are heads; this one will not admit Baptism; that one rejects the Sacrament of the altar; another places another world between the present one and the day of judgment; some teach that Jesus Christ is not God. There is not an individual, however clownish he may be, who does not claim to be inspired by the Holy Ghost, and who does not put forth as prophecies his ravings and dreams."
Martin Luther

Jesus created a church not a bunch of do-it-yourself library patrons.

<quoted text>The Bible is a collection of books. The Word of God is what is written for us to have a blueprint of what God desired for His elect. You fail to understand that each person who belongs to Christ is the Church, we are subject to the Word, because it endures. You see the Church as some edifice which Jesus instituted, and He tells us it is His Body, and that the kingdom of God is in each one who becomes His by faith. The gospels are not just narratives about Jesus' life, but a Message as well, of the Kingdom of God, coming down to us, and bringing the reality of our Creator." the world will pass away, but My Word endures forever."I wonder who said that?
Th Word is what one interprets it to be. The many different interpretations of scripture by honest and sincere people shows the weakness of the concept which you promote. Jesus created a church to spread His message, He wrote nothing while he walked on earth.

I agree with you when you condemn the sexual abuse of minors by catholic priests. What I do find a bit strange is your lack of addressing the same issue in the Protestant churches. Is this because they do not claim to be the one true church so lessis expected from them? Statistics state the abuse is greater in these churches.
There are no stats to back your opinion that there is more abuse in Protestant churches. The conditions simply do not allow the activity to take place in other denominations.

Unlike the abuse of children by Priests as well as homosexual activity in the monasteries AND in the Vatican. It has happened because many in the faith have enabled it. Secrecy in the Catholic Schools as well as the 'close' conditions/circumstances Priests orchestrated for years allowed the abuse to continue. The church has covered up so much that it has left many to believe that most cases of abuse have been either covered up, paid off or were simple never pursued. Pointing your finger at other denominations seems to be the way the Catholics thumb their noses at responsibility. Shame on you.

Playing dumb is no way to go through life. Sure there is abuse in other churches, but NO other church has paid upwards of $600 million in legal fees like the Catholic Church has to date, have they?
