In the 21st century, we are making a lot of news about a system of election rooted in about the 14th century.

At least the Holy Roman Emperor or the king of France no longer exercises the right to nullify a papal election if he doesn't like the results.

You certainly are appropriately named.

And you certainly expound no wisdom. I trust no one consults you for anything.

Unfortunately, the "Source" is silent these days. His Words are interpreted by men and women according to their prejudices, political agandas, and social outlooks.

Last I checked, God has not dictated anything in quite a while.

And, inspirations (literally, in the spirit) are open to question and conjecture, even if one is a pope, metropolitan, pontiff, buddha, llama, rabbi, imam, ayatollah or whatever.

Actually "we" aren't making anything about the election of a new pope. It's the media that plastering the airwaves with it. The fasination about things Catholic at a time like this always interests me.
