Dan wrote: <quoted text> The Lincoln diocese may not allow females on the altar. The Omaha diocese allows it. It's the Bishop's call. Bruskewitz made it and from your telling, the new guy will maintain that policy. As an aside, it's not Church teaching to disallow female EME's or acolytes, lectors and cantors. Flavin made those calls. In fact many other bishops are considering going back to having only boys for alter servers. We have young men going through our Diocese from Omaha and other Diocese to go to Saint Gregory's Seminary. Things are changing to be more orthodox. We have people from all over the Country moving to Lincoln and other places becuase of our orthodoxy.

I doubt that people are moving to Western Nebraska in droves due to the Lincoln Diocese's orthodoxy. I have no problem with orthodozy and I applaud it it many cases, but I'm skeptical that orthodoxy is a magnet for folks to move to Western Nebraska.

Lincoln isn't western Nebraska, the Grand Island Diocese has western Neb. And young men have joined the Lincoln Diocese when they live in Omaha and surrounding areas to go to school at Saint Gregory.

Dan wrote: <quoted text> I seriously doubt you were taught that, but admitting same would blow your story. I get it. Gotta keep the "I was oppressed" thing going. Women have as much a role in "governance" as I do. Bottom line. Women fill every role available in lay governance. Even a female protestant bishop would tell you that the objective of the clerical state isn't a job title. It's not the corporate world, Morgana. The RCC is exactly that a "corporation". A male dominated male hierarchy corporation with NO WOMEN allowed in its circle of boys or its governing.

You are a bunch of road apples but if it makes you feel good to lie for the church (the father of lies) keep up the good work!!! I always enjoy when they call Mary the mother of the church but then disallow women on the alter....interesting!!! LOL
