The RCC isn't run by the laity.
It a male hierarchy ... literally.

Any YOUR problem is that you are SO inured and institutionalized to it that you can't see anything wrong with it.

Facile.
I know why the RCC does what it does and I know why other Christian faiths do otherwise.
You know and accept their rationalizations for, in this case, injustice.

Well, yeah-the hierarchy is the clergy and the clergy is male.
Literally.
What's wrong with that?
On an ecclesial level?

You haven't made any case for "injustice" yet.

What's the "injustice"?

The Lincoln diocese may not allow females on the altar. The Omaha diocese allows it.
It's the Bishop's call. Bruskewitz made it and from your telling, the new guy will maintain that policy.
As an aside, it's not Church teaching to disallow female EME's or acolytes, lectors and cantors.
Flavin made those calls. In fact many other bishops are considering going back to having only boys for alter servers. We have young men going through our Diocese from Omaha and other Diocese to go to Saint Gregory's Seminary. Things are changing to be more orthodox. We have people from all over the Country moving to Lincoln and other places becuase of our orthodoxy.

Fine-Flavin it is.

I doubt that people are moving to Western Nebraska in droves due to the Lincoln Diocese's orthodoxy. I have no problem with orthodozy and I applaud it it many cases, but I'm skeptical that orthodoxy is a magnet for folks to move to Western Nebraska.

Lincoln isn't western Nebraska, the Grand Island Diocese has western Neb. And young men have joined the Lincoln Diocese when they live in Omaha and surrounding areas to go to school at Saint Gregory.

It's west of here.
I'm happy that the seminarians enjoy Saint Gregory.

Not "shame" dear, but so as "not to tempt the angels". It a Sauline thing, so it doesn't actually matter.
We were told women were to cover their heads for the shame of Eve's sin. I can't make that shlt up!!! I am not insane!!!:)

And they are all male correct? Now the question is why? Further who performed the cleaning of the alter?

I seriously doubt you were taught that, but admitting same would blow your story. I get it. Gotta keep the "I was oppressed" thing going.
Women have as much a role in "governance" as I do. Bottom line.
Women fill every role available in lay governance.
Even a female protestant bishop would tell you that the objective of the clerical state isn't a job title. It's not the corporate world, Morgana.
The RCC is exactly that a "corporation". A male dominated male hierarchy corporation with NO WOMEN allowed in its circle of boys or its governing.

No they can't!!

They buy the "smooth over talk" the sugar coating where there is none! Makes it seem more palatable, couldn't possibly be harmful!

You are a bunch of road apples but if it makes you feel good to lie for the church (the father of lies) keep up the good work!!!

I always enjoy when they call Mary the mother of the church but then disallow women on the alter....interesting!!! LOL

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
