Well, "hon", women read from the lectionary (out loud to the congregants) at my church, and they distribute the Eucharist at my church.

No, they're aren't priests.

I meant to say that there aren't women priests, but women do particpate in the liturgy.

There aren't female deacons, hence my omission.

We do not allow women to give out Communion at Mass. Nor do we allow girls to be alter servers. I have heard people try to find jobs in my Diocese because we are true to the Church's teachings. Our new Bishop is not changing anything.

There are some parishes here in my Diocese that will not allow women to be lectors.

The Lincoln diocese may not allow females on the altar. The Omaha diocese allows it.

It's the Bishop's call. Bruskewitz made it and from your telling, the new guy will maintain that policy.

As an aside, it's not Church teaching to disallow female EME's or acolytes, lectors and cantors.

Of course not, moron. It's not as if your bish cared about meeting the needs of his sheeple, after all. It's much more important to adhere to the mores of ignorant goatherds than to respond to the 21st century.
BTW, sofa king, are you trying to claim that girls can't serve transsexual folk? Idiot.

"At" not "on". lol

It IS RCC teaching that the only ones who get to decide such things are male.

Think about it.

The "needs" at Mass are having enough folks to carry out the liturgical service.
No one "needs" to be an acolyte, cantor, lector or EME.
I'd watch throwing "idiot" and "moron" around in such a cavalier manner.

So institutionalized to the injustice that you CAN'T see what's wrong with that?

You need a serious consciousness-raising, bro.

Sorry, Dan. When you're talking about the knutball, those descriptors are just the tip of the iceberg. The accurate phrases for that one are even worse.

Understand.

I get bent out of shape on occasion myself.

It's just a message board.

Yes. You ARE too institutionalized to the injustice to see it.

You are like the native of Los Angeles who's never been out of the L.A. basin, and simply doesn't know that the sky isn't a beautiful shade of beige, and air doesn't actually taste like car exhaust and jet kerosene.

Facile.

I know why the RCC does what it does and I know why other Christian faiths do otherwise.
