It does not take a belief in any of the hundreds or thousands of gods to do this, it takes caring for your fellow human beings. Why is it better to believe? And what are you supposed to believe? Do you mean believe in Hinduism, Islamism, Greek Gods, Roman gods, is the right one the god of Abraham? If so, which interpretation, is it the Muslim, the Jewish, the Christian? How far do you go to cover yourself for what you think is eternity? Do you believe in all religions? Or just the same one your parents do? If it is Christian, do you believe in Catholicism? Protestantism? Mormonism? 7th Day Adventism? Put simply, it only takes Confucius' version of the Golden Rule, which was centuries before Jesus, which is actually much better than Jesus' version,“Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself.” It is indeed better to live a good life, but does not require belief in any gods.

Can not remember what name it's called. It may have come from Our Lady of Lourdes and one of the secrets she let Bernadett know of. you don't know who the Blessed Mother is? How was this accomplished? by the will of God.

So all the earthquakes volcanoes, hurricanes are just by the will of god? If so, which god? If it is the god of the bible, which one? I'm guessing the Catholic god, who apparently has no problem with the molesting priests in his fold.

Mother earth, get out of here...How is a weeping statue gonna change the earth's axis. There is only 1 God. Where do you think these things start from, they all are because of God. Mary weeps for us. This was stated at Fatima, she is tired and doesn't know how long she can keep her son from returning to destroy us.

Pete certainly you are a good person. But Pride is one of the deadly sins. Pride is what sent Lucifer out of heaven into the powers of hell. he thought he was bigger, better than God. It is better to be humble. just letting you know in case you didnt.

I think these things start from natural occurrences that where they come from. I just asked for a definition of the Blessed Mother and you gave none. If you can, please provide the evidence and passage of the bible of said "Blessed Mother".

It's best to lead a good life without fear of retribution from an insecure god.

Catholic Girl wrote: <quoted text> You are clueless to life's important info. The best thing for you is to look it up yourself. I guess you don't know a whole lot about Fatima. And I guess you would rather remain ignorant on the subject to make it easier to hold on to your beliefs. Whatever works for you. Still don't care to answer the questions I asked in a previous post? But as far as what I know about "the Blessed Mother" it's a Catholic construct that seems to violate the Commandment thou shalt not worship idols, since Mary is worshipped around the world in her "appearances" whether at Fatima or "weeping" statues, one of which, that when it was proven to be a hoax, the church decided to sue instead of side with the scientific findings. I would really like to hear your answers, but don't expect you dig too deep into your beliefs in order to defend them.

I "thought" going to a religion forum was a good idea if one was searching - but I see very little love or religion here. Everybody just fights over "whose God is best". Makes me doubt all the more. YOU consider yourself religious when you make fun of my sicknesses? You're showing your true colors. You think you can't get sick? Well, I'm a better person than you are because if YOU got sick I wouldn't mock you for it. Your "religion" is not making you a better person, that's obvious. You preach a lot - you think God doesn't know what's really in your heart?
