do you really expect a man who has more than likely never even gotten laid to understand the complexities of human sexuality in their full entirety?

i knew someone once who had read and studied volumes about knitting - never once touched a skein of yarn or a set of needles

i'm thinking they are on about the same level - information with no practical use and the strange feeling of the need to ask why the interest

Thank you, SHUT UP!
You are absolutely right!
And now we will hear from all the brainwashed, useful idiots out there who think they know it all. How sadly mistaken they are.
As for you scuter pie, your time is comin' fool.

Go Pope Go!!!!!!!!!!
I am PROTESTant in the true meaning of the word, but on this, I can most certainly agree with the Pope.

Right.
And I am sure that you can come up with loads of evidence for your confusion too.
Like I said, IDIOTS.
I am completely against abortion, but in your case perhaps it would have been a good choice by your mama.
You are addressing someone who has studied the Bible and religion for over 35 years and you are going to try to tell me that Jesus is gay?
You need to have your head examined and next time do some serious studying of the facts before you open your big ugly, diseased mouth.

The Pope preaches hate. Jesus never preached hate. Jesus always preached love. The Pope isn't a true follower of Jesus Christ.

The Catholic Church has no authority over non-Catholics. The Catholic Church should mind its own business. It has its own problems with priests molesting children. It should clean its own house.

The Pope is not truly worried about the environment because he urges people to have more children. If a family must include children, than a married, childless couple is living in sin. This makes no sense in an overpopulated earth. The population must decrease to save the planet. Too many people are destroying the planet. Also, there isn't enough food for everybody. So, the Pope wants more people and children to starve

Love the Title Gays are Angry.....what a surprise...the queers are ALWAYS angry. That's because they KNOW they are sick perverts and feel the immense guilt. But rather than correct themselves, they lash out at those who stand against their perversions. How they EVER got the term GAY for such a hateful angry bunch of disgusting perverts is beyond me.

Maybe gay people are angry because they are tired of being persecuted for the imaginary crime of being who they are.

Maybe, if some gays do feel guilt, it's because so many bigots in society insist that they feel guilt.

And don't you think your handle, "BatMan", is a bit ironic? After all, Batman was a guy running around in a cape and tights alongside a much younger male in a cape and tights. Maybe you have some unresolved issues you need to contemplate.

Just a thought, if you don't like what the pope has to say, then don't listen to him. No one is forcing you to.

It is people like you that make gay people angry. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I also don't agree with the sexually permissive lifestyle of many people today, including many pastors.

We don't have to agree with the way the live, however I disagree with calling them perverts. Many of them live normal lives, even if I disagree with it.

Jesus didn't call Mary Magdalene a sick pervert dispite her being a prostitute.

>VATICAN CITY Pope Benedict XVI celebrated Christmas Midnight Mass early Thursday by sending out an appeal for children who are abused, forced to live on the street or serve as soldiers.

My God, the Church is asking for MORE sex toys for its Priests! At least they're not asking for sons of their parishners - credit the two billion dollars in civil suits, I suppose.

The "gay" people are showing their true colors alright! Anger, bigotry, selfishness and hatred.
Those who know they are sickos are getting angry too and will not continue to ignore their hatefilled rhetoric forever.
Take a good look at yourselves bigots, hatemongers, whoremongers. Keep talking and keep spouting your mindless and senseless garbage and while doing so, remember, the whole world is watching and listening and reading.
Yes, Jesus preached love the first time around. When He returns, He is coming to judge everyone who didn't live for Him and love Him. He did not condone ANY sexual immorality including homosexuality. He was not unfamiliar with it since it was being practiced in His day in the Helenized and Roman pagan world.
He was a Jew Who followed the teachings of the Torah and knew what it taught about the abomination of the homosexual lifestyle. The Torah is quite clear on the subject and leaves no question. The division of the Testaments doesn't really exist by the way. Jesus interpreted it clearly making it actually more difficult to follow by making obedience to God a matter of the state of one's heart before God.
Jesus did not teach pacifism as most of you biblically clueless clowns hope He did.

Gays and lesbians never said wacko, bigot, hypocrite "Christians" can't serve openly in the armed forces or adopt children or be protected from arbitrary firings.

We know who the pogrom pushing bigots are, and the fundies know, at some level, that they're losing their long term struggle to make homophobia endemic. Most younger people just don't care about sexual variations or Middle Ages sex negativity.

I don't know what is the point of getting angry about the pope's idiotic statements

what can we really expect from an organization that continues to keep women second class?

the best way to counter him is being out and being good gay ambassadors

I once had a supervisor tell me that he was afraid when he first came to the workplace because he was told I was an out lesbian

but now that he had gotten to know me, he really liked and respected me

now, the funny thing was, he had never had a second thought about gay people - he had the misfortune to meet a gay man who was rather over the top

turns out that I also knew this particular guy

anyway, my boss had thought that all gay people were like the first guy, but when he met me and saw that I wasn't rabid - she went back to his original view that gays were people like everyone else

now, don't think that I am some straight acting lesbian, because I am not - I do work in that I am gay in the first three sentences of any conversation - and I do not refrain from referring to my partner by name and using "she" not gender neutral language - and I have the short hair and sensible shoes

it's even on my resume, since I list all my volunteer activities

anyway, got off track

my point is - treat the Pope like Phelps - there's no real difference

let the ignorance be seen for what it is

and counter it with evidence that the only sexual deviants are in fact, the Pope and his "celibate" cronies.

and as for the people who freak about pedophile priests - and yes they were bad and the church for protecting them

but know that pedophiles are not the same as gay men

although both types likely joined the church thinking that the church could cure them or remove them from temptation

when it in fact is the opposite

but I wonder, if you are really so concerned about child sexual abuse

why aren't you more worried about straight men and little girls

girls are molested at a far higher rate than boys

I feel there is a much bigger difference between the pope and Phelps. I know there has been very misfortunate molestation cover ups in the Church, however the Church is made up of sinful people, clergy and lay, and there are many good priests that do genuinely care for people, it's just sad the bad priests have to give the whole Church a bad rap.

Merry Christmas, Trevor.

the only difference between Phelps and the pope is that the Pope is more dangerous

he has more influence and only appears to be more moderate than Phelps

the Pope hates gays, women and science

he's invented new deadly sins, tried to interfere with politicians in all countries that passed gay marriage, continues to fight against women in all reproductive areas from contraception to artificial insemination

meanwhile, he wears dresses, practices ritual cannibalism, avoids women and lives in a castle with only men, thinks he's god on earth and is trying to do a semi-hostile take over of other xtian faiths starting with the Anglicans - and thinks he is somehow a guide in moral behavior and knows anything about adult relationships

Phelps is a nutball with a following of 30 people, all related by blood or marriage - his congregation is not growing

I'm sorry you feel that way but I disagree. I don't see how the pope hates science, women, and gays.

The Church has stated that evolution may have occured, as long as it was God who was the "author" of creation, and women play a very active role in the Church, as least my parish. We have female Eucharistic ministers, canters, readers, make up the majority of the parish staff and school staff.

I know how hard feelings can develop over different beliefs concerning homosexuality. This part we will just have to agree to disagree on. It is not right for either of us to tell the other they are wrong, each must follow his or her own conscience.

While I respect your right not to be a Catholic and believe as you wish, how is attacking the Church going to help anybody but cause more hard feelings on both sides?
