While I disagree, of course, with Catholic doctrine, I've got to give this pope credit; his words can only lead to a reduction in anti-gay hate and violence.

He knew exactly what he was doing . The ignorant mob he addressed his words to are always the worst when it comes to bigotry an unreasoning hatred . He knew they ( and the sensation-seeking media ) would carry the ball . A very , very clever man wih a superb sense of timing .
