... and muslims will misinterpret Pope Francis' humility when he kneeled to wash the feet of a young Muslim woman as an act of submission, which is literally what "muslim" means, e.g., "one who submits".

All bishops wash the feet of 12 of their people in Holy Week. They are copying (and honouring) what Jesus did the night before he died.
