Jorge Bergoglio, the archbishop of Buenos Aires widely considered to be the runner-up in 2005 when Pope Benedict XVI was elected to lead the Catholic Church, didn't hang around the Vatican and plot a political strategy that would eventually lead to him becoming Benedict's successor.

Ah, promote service to your fellow man rather than the self; a true Christen belief and faith that is not subordinated to the idolatry of personal wealth... will it catch on with the lords and their scions of Wall Street? A noble aspiration, but don't hold your breath!
