Of course it is Jesus who saves. The "Church" though is the Body of Christ present to the world today. It is and has been made up of believers who have been charged to "Go and baptize all nations in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" by Christ himself before returning to the Father. Now of course the "church" is also a building in which believers gather. The building itself has no real worth without the believers.

Then WHY do all the romanist church buildings have such luxurious surroundings, gold, silver, etc?

I know of no "romanist church buildings." Try to clarify what kind of churches you are attempting to ask about and tell of how you have seen "all" of them so you know of what is inside them.

I am skirting nothing. I do not recognize any kind of "romanist church" and therefore can not address your question in any way about one. As impressed with the fact you can spell "hypocrite" the fact that I can spell it only means that I have knowledge of phonics and nothing more.

The central doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church is "Obey the Hierarchy."
