Jun 8, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Alabama Live

When the Rev. Matthew Venuti celebrates Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mobile, he looks out and sees a rare sight for most priests -- his wife and child.

"Most women donít picture themselves married to a Catholic priest," admits Venuti. "Itís not something you aspire to" ...

from Alabama Live:

"The priest, who is 31, began his married life while an Episcopalian.

"He was ordained an Episcopal priest on Jan. 8, 2011, while serving at Church of the Nativity in Dothan. On the day of his ordination, though, he was in crisis.

"'It was the worst day of my life,' he says.'I told my wife, in tears,'I think I made a mistake. I think I need to be a Catholic.'

"Eighteen months later, on June 2, Venuti was ordained a Catholic priest by the Most Reverend Thomas J. Rodi, Archibishop of Mobile, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

"Venuti had to get approval from Rome to be a priest married with a child.'Only the Holy Father, the Pope, can give dispensation,' he says."

LMAO!

You think this is the first roman priest to have a family?

You are as ignorant of your own roman history as you are Scripture.

You are a man of doctrine and dogma and you think that somehow excuses you from accountability.

Good luck with that..........

Martin Luther was an ordained priest and a Reverend Doctor of Divinity. He married an ex-num that ran a brewery.

Let's not forget that man of the Apostles and Disciples of Christ Jesus were good Jewish boys that tended to be married.

Just think Simon bar Jonah was married and a fisherman. LOL - And Bishop of Rome.

Einstein, since Peter had a mother-in-law, the first "Pope" must have had a wife as well.

It appears on the messages of these threads that YOU are the one who is trying to change the subject.

If you claimed to be or to have been a member of TEC when you requested to be an editor on these threads and are now found to have never been a member, how will that look on your resume'?

LMAO!!!!.....

The wall will be dismantled, one stone at a time, until the breach becomes so large that the pent-up force of demand for heterosexual and homosexual, married priests becomes the norm.

If you want an answer to your question, provide the answer and the proof that MiddleWay has suggested that you are unable to provide.

They're not questions, but accusations, and the proof for them rests with you and M-Way.

You do know marriage licenses are PUBLIC INFORMATION?

Did you know the same is with baptism, confirmation and receptions? Especially since I had a friend as a priest in Trinity, years ago when you first told me your lies.

You should check things about before you start lying about them, especially since you are so proud of using your real name.

Bit you in the butt, didn't it.....

Marriage records are public.

YOU are a liar and you slander daily.

The ultimate master of projection. No wonder you thin everyone else is a liar, LOOK AT YOURSELF.

Let us help you admit that you lied. If you admit it, I will forgive you..........

There must be hundreds of Latin rite priests with families. Some are former Episcopalian priests, some from other protestant religions, and then there are widowers who enter the pristhood. This is nothing new or newsworthy.
