Coincidentally, Eddie Money is set to play Mulcahy's around the same timeframe as the Billy Joel Shea Stadium gigs.

that someone who loves New York and Long isalnd as much as billy Joel does is going to close down Shea...that's so bittersweet. I want to be there.

F.Y.I.- Billy Joel is 5'7", his wife is drop-dead gorgeous, and although his driving is questionable, at least he drives on the right side of the road. Your envy is palpable, you miserable English twit. Save your snooty cmments for your own homeboys- Pete Dougherty is a brilliiant example of a fine British upbringing by George!

Uh, don't The Greatful Dead have a "banner" at MSG? Like the one for Martina Navarotilova (major SP) that is only shown during concerts?

How profound of you, Mr. Bloviator. It must have taken you years to be able to think and speak with your rectum. Your eloquence and intellect must attract many 'young broads' as well. Please share more of your sexual experience with Mr. Joel and his 'string' technique. It sounds absolutely fascinating.

Billy is also expected to help demolition begin at Shea by driving into it after the concert.

Billy Joel is a magnificent example of what is best about Long Island. He is a peerless artist who has not allowed his ego to get the best of him.
Congratulations on an honor that is richly deserved.

Well, we whupped you Brits in 1776 and had to bail you in two World Wars. Ingrateful little git.

I'm one of Billy Joel's biggest fans. I was saddened to see his creative well run dry thirty years ago starting with that Uptown girl song. Anyway, at least he has a few bottles of red, bottles of white to drown in.

Yeah the GD do have a banner at MSG but don't bother Newsday with the facts.

Since Joel recorded 'Uptown Girl'he wrote and recorded 4 more pop albums, scored at least a dozen more top 40 hit singles, sold close to another 50 million albums, earned 14 more Grammy nominations, played numerous worldwide record-breaking concert tours, held master classes at colleges and universities all around the U.S., and even managed to compose an entire album of music for solo piano. On what planet does that constitute a 'creative well run dry'? With fans like you, who needs critics?

I met this toad outside of OBI one day, and if he is 5'7", I'm 6'11"!
His wife is gorgeous, but is in my impression a hooker (someone who sleeps with someone for money).

Oh, and Ethan, I live on LI.

OOOh! A big bad Harley Rider who likes to call people 'toads' and 'hookers'. Your pious observations only prove that you're still a miserable twit no matter where you live. And Billy Joel is still 5"7'.

Honors? Hmm....I'd be happy if he was just honored with the 30 in 30 chip.
