I thought it was very good. I know there a lot of different views, but one thing for sure, each of the cast did excellent jobs, the Ladies are excellent performers, I think Sean did an excellant job, he is a gifted individual and works hard at making what ever he does turn out the best he can. I really applaud him at his efforts in all he does, he may have made some mistakes in his life, but in the Bible it says we have ALL sinned and come short to the Gorly of God. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and think everyone did a fantastic job overall. Not quite the classic version, but it did hold it's own for today. I'm glad it was brought to light for a new audience to THINK! I haven't heard it mentioned yet, and I hesitate mentioning ... but... Sanaa Lathan's performance took me out of the film a few times - more so than the comments about Sean Combs. She wasn't quite "young" enough to pull off the role, and I found her acting a bit distracting. She's still beautiful - I am a fan usually. This wasn't my favorite of her rolls. Phylicia Rashad!!!! She was amazing!! She brought tears to my eyes more than once. And Audra McDonald... wow. Incredible job!

The movie was phenomonal! I have seen the play and the movie did a great job of capturing the plays essence and details. A must see for all!

As an African-american woman I was truly moved and inspired by watching the remake of A Raisin in the Sun, last night. The acting was beautiful and it touched my heart in new ways. Thank you Sean Combs, for a brilliant remake!!!!! EXCELLENT.
