The ironic thing is....the more they protest, the better the movies do at the box office.

oh my.....Personally, I believe in God but I'm also thankful for that neat-o thing he or she (haven't decided yet) threw in, ummm....free will. We all are given the right to believe whatever we choose and to act accordingly. If I chose to not believe in God, that is my choice and it doesn't make me a fool, trash, etc. I believe that "religion" has molested the beauty of God. I believe in good vs. evil. I believe in magic. I believe it's a movie. I believe that (as previously posted) our "leaders" are irresponsible and harmful in their blind condemnation or commendation of any issue they have no firsthand knowledge of. I believe in free will and the right to see or not see said movie. I believe everyone I know has the right to make the same choice. I believe Joe is funny. Now that is control. BTW....what's the matter with porn?

OH YOU DID NOT!!!! Your post started out okay but flopped miserably. Religion and patriotism are not mutually exclusive and you have some big fat nerve to speak for me as a Christian and as an American. Land of the free, 1st amendment, Bill of Rights....any of these ringing a bell?? America is in existence entirely due to those seeking refuge from religious persecution. Jeez, this started as a funny because of a bunch of zealous hypocrites having a breakdown about a movie, for crying out loud and did you ever just expound on the zealous hypocrite theory. How embarrassing it must be to be you. |

YEAH!! |

actually, in most other "Christian" countries (Holland for instance where I currently live) there are winter holidays centered around a santa type figure (Sinter Klaas here, St. Niklaus in Germany) that follow many of the same customs as Christmas, presents, singing, etc. But I must correct myself, these countries existed before the U.S. so perhaps the U.S. just modified the custom a bit? And for your information, I am a Chrisitan, and I do celebrate the birth of MY Lord and savior. I do hope for one second on Christmas morning that you consider that. |

Christian forgiveness? God loves and forgives us all? Could be one of those aforementioned miracles. And seriously, don't quote scripture....it means nothing without the other chapters and verses, ie; context. |

Have to comment here sweetie. Middle ages in Europe Jews were forced by Christians to convert or die. In Hawiaii the natives were forced to convert by the missionaries. The native americans here were also forced to convert and abandon their customs, language and their unique view of God. I'm sure there are many other examples. This was done by Christians and I'd imagine well meaning but nevertheless devestating to their religious beliefs and culture. Now maybe a country such as Saudi Arabia run by religion appeals to you, but not for most people and I don't think Christians would be welcome in any case. Power is such a fleeting thing:-) |
Man existed long before Christianity was even a religion and empires brutalized other humans savagely long before Christianity. And pagans and atheists have done their fair share of killing, maiming, and raping. As the old saying goes "let he/she who is without sin cast the first stone". |

All organized religion has done it's share of killing, maiming and raping in the name of God. Mind-boggling isn't it? |

There's a lot being thrown around about who has and hasn't read the Bible. Well, has anyone else actually read "The Golden Compass?" I have. Personally, I found it tedious (it was too long, and it's part of a trilogy, and "Lord of the Rings" it ain't), and irrelevant in respect to religion. Whatever "Dust" is a euphamism for, I didn't equate it with "sin." And has anyone else out here studied one morsel of quantum physics? If I say "string theory" and "the 11th dimension" and "multiverse" (which is in the book!) is there a "good Christian" out here who knows what I'm talking about? SCIENCE!!! Go learn some and quit posting ignorant scrum about a child's book trying to undermine mainstream religion. Science has already done it.

Wow, typical christian @ss hole, too illiterate to argue your point (what are you in kindergarten? or maybe you were home schooled, either way you abuse of the English language is atrocious.) so you resort to unsubstantiated personal attacks. Seems to me you might have some buried memories that need exploring, maybe of a priest or preacher? Seek help you poor deluded fool. |
