Al-Shabab: foreigners in Kenya mall were "legitimate target;" let Muslims leave after vetting
Al-Shabab, the armed Somali Islamic extremist group that attacked a shopping mall in Kenya, said Wednesday that foreigners were a "legitimate target" and confirmed witness accounts that gunmen tried to let Muslims go free while killing or taking the others captive.

It is common for a Somali who is fed, clothed, housed, educated and offered medical aid by non-Muslims to offer his loyalty and solidarity with a Muslim whom he never met against the security of his adopted country. H/she will call their generous benefactor derogatory names such as, gaal and kaafir.
