Can't hear "Never Leave Harlan Alive" from the first Mountain Soul album without thinking of my dad who was killed in the mines.

I am glad she has gone back to her roots and the old traditional country and bluegrass style. I tell ya, this new stuff they call Country just don't make it for me.

The woman can sing, look out Loretta

Yeah, she can sing, but everytime I had ever seen her in the area, she has done nothing but put Pike County down. I don't know if anyone remembers the Autumn Jam (from way back), but she came on stage and pretty much acted as though she was ashamed to be in the area. I've not purchased any music she has made since. I think she is a "better than you".

If you look it up in Wikipedia,(the last 2 paragraphs in the "MCA Years 1985 to 1982"), she blames her lack of sales on everyone (including her brother, Roger, whom she fired as manager), except herself. Maybe if she didn't treat those, that were previously supportive of her, like crap, she may have had a much better career. I'm not saying she can't sing, because some things she can, but I'm just saying she should treat her fans (and probably her family) better, maybe they'll be more likely to buy her albums.

Why do haters like you hide behind an anonymous username and insult people? It must make you feel good about yourself. Patty Loveless is a great country singer. I didn't realize people in her home state, whatever city she's from, felt this way. I'm here to tell you people in Tennessee love her.

love her.

You have a fake name.

Besides she was born and raised in Elkhorn City.
Lived in Beaver Bottom.
Went to Elkhorn City School.
Remember where You come from, be proud, do not lie and deny it. People will be better to you if you show your true colors. Denying where she come from and bad mouthing the place and people where she came from has got here where she is!
whatever
