I have heard a little while back that this couple had some marriage trouble. I believe they do. I believe they are protecting the image they have with the public. Bruce comes off in a lot of different ways to public; for example "The blue collar image, the I'm just a regular working class man; but the fact is Bruce is a very rich rich man and if he flirts and was seen in public with the mystery 9/11 woman then there may be some truth that all is not good. He wants the public to think that he is a great loving family man,but I think he is trying to protect his image. How do we not know for sure that there is an arrangement for his image and kids sake. He is very wealthy and he does not strike me as the type that would put up with an unhappy union ,maybe for now he is trying to adress rumours, but he was married to Julianne Phillips when he was caught disgustingly on a balcony with Patti while still married to a much prettier wowman who stole Bruce from her. Bruce is all about his image for the average middle class working folks; but I think that is phony. He embarresed his first wife shamelessly without regard to her feelings and I think because kids are involved he is just hiding it from the public. Maybe Patti and Bruce have an arrangement after all his friend said "Bruce is a big flirt" I think he is involved with the stunning redhead 9/11 woman he"s been seen around town with. I've heard months ago he moved into a barn on his estate and they both went to marriage counseling, if no kids were involved he"d probably dump Patti. If he really wants to protect his family stop galavating around town with stunning redheads, stop flirting . I do not buy into Springsteen"s denials of problems he is not just an average bluecollar guy he is a wealthy man who can do what he wants and his music is outdated. It's his image concert tours etc. that he is really trying to protect. Good luck Bruce, there something about you that makes me feel your a phony and your music is out dated. Kenney Chesney has you beat as a beautiful singing story teller. Mary

Kenny Chesney has a long way to go before you even compare him to Bruce Springsteen.

How interesting it is is that people like Mary can know exactly what is wrong with somebody else's marriage and relationship. You must be very special that you can pass judgement on somebody's private life. Why do you think that the Springsteens' marriage is anybody's business but there own? That was a cocked story from the beginning. Where are the journalistic principles of the New York Post, besides in the toilet? Bruce Springsteen grew up in the working class and hish heart is still there. Doesn't matter how much money you make later on. Our personalities are formed int he first six years of life.

Mary, from being around all these guys for a long, long time I can personally tell you that the only phony one is Jon Bon Jovi. Jon goes out of his way to hurt some people and what he does is always done with smoke and mirrors. Yes, I agree what happened to Julianne was very bad on Bruce's end but believe me, Jon and his crew are a whole lot worse!!

To EJM< Kenney Chesnney already has gone a long way and has earned the right to be compared.I compare him much greater than the outdated dark 70"s rock of Springsteen. If you study his music you would know what I'm talking about. He's been around a while and he's a creative geinus at storytelling, besides his music is great. As for LBJ I never passed judgement on Springsteens personal life, but for the record the court record the tabloid was true and the story was true and the affair was true. I don"t give a damn what Bruce Springsteen does in his personal life , but above mentioned is factual information; but Mr. Springsteen don"t go trying to push your phony image on me cause I don"t buy it. As for that working class bullshit ethic your talking about bullshit! The only work he's done was at The "STONE PONY" He became very wealthy at a young age and he spurned his father"s working way of life. I understand they had a difficult relationship, but that is o.k. to be rich , just do not try to impose a phony value you don"t have ;but your father had and make me believe you don"t enjoy it. He dumped Julianne while married and the pictures are factual and real. That hurts the wife he had and homely Patti had a hand in it too. I still believe he screws around with the stunning 9/11 redhead. So there. Kenney chesney's the man. Check him out and I mean all of his career from beginning to end. Bruce Springsteen is a talent but a phony has been. His wife is a man stealing ho. Journalism is fair you play around you get found out.

Mary you are so clueless it's embarrasing! There are so many things wrong with your comments I don't even know where to start. You are so innacurate on every single point you are trying to make. From your awful grammar and use of the English language, I wonder if you even graduated high school. As for Kenny Chesney, and it is glaringly obvious that you are a huge fan after all you managed to mispell both of his names..hello....get a clue dummy.

Mary,I don't want to play a tit for tat name calling game but you do seem to have an awful lot of animosity for someone you have never met. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors and no one knows what goes on inside another human beings head. Some of the most perfect 'Father Knows Best' families I have known were actually dysfunctional abusive and frightening. Who are any of us to judge Bruce,Patty or the mysterious red head you have mentioned. Bruce is the first in line when it comes to bringing attention to the working man's woes. He seems to be a man in touch with his roots and he seems totally unaffected by the riches you mentioned. Make no mistake I am not saying he is an angel but I don't think you or any of the other naysayers has any right to denegrate a man because he has worked hard and made a huge amount of money. You should focus a little more on get over your own anger and get over being so involved in a stranger's personal life.

TO AMY from GA I do not judge for one thing but if you think i am going to buy into his working class image and his giving a real damn about the working poor your in denial. The journalists have a right to print what ever is true and it's true that he has been seen about jersey with a stunning redhead. I just don't buy into his persona and that is my right. I son't know where you get that I'm angry ; but maybe you should work on getting real with how different the very wealthy are from the working class. He's brought nothin but his veresion of rock and roll about the workin man. If you are open and want to hear a true beautiful artist paint life listen to Kenney Chesney's music he's a geinus at bringing attention not just to the workin man but to all areas of life, now that's an artist. take care Amy.

Mary. You comment here is both vile and racist. As others have stated both your grammer and use of the English language leave alot to be desired. It may come as shock to you but there are many other cultures that exsist outside of the good 'ol USA. People like yourself go to fuel the hatred that goes on in this world. Do yourself some favours:
1: Read a book.

2: Visit another country.(You need a PASSPORT for this)

3: Save your vile comments for some right wing nazi website.

For the record: I used to be a passionate Springsteen fan - but marriage and kids will take a lot of time and money away from buying tickets and seeing shows. But I try to keep up.

My one comment about the Julianne Philips thing: Yes, it was not nice. But where was she while The Boss was on tour - Oh, yes, she was working on her career. And She sure has had one, hasn't she? Yes, that's sarcastic. Sorry, but even if Bruce Springsteen was Saint Bruce the Celebate, let's also acknowledge that stuff happens on the road, and if you want to prevent it, youmay have to go along.

Now, the reasonI really posted -has anyone noticed that all the denials are coming from Bruce's side? I have not found a statement by Patti saying "we're OK." The omission makes me wonder why she hasn't been quoted. Of course,I may have missed something.

While I am disturbed by several of comments above, and the personal attacks, I will forever defend the right to state them as guaranteed by our First Amendment; however, as a woman born and raised in the U.S.A. during the 20th century, I am deeply saddened by the fact that another woman has made a point to criticize a man for in effect leaving his wife for not just another woman, but a "homely" woman. At least twice I noticed where the writer considers Julianne the prettier of the two and Bruce is put down for choosing the least attractive.... There are plenty of people who will disagree about who's prettier, but who cares? I only wish the day would come when we, as a society, cease to put SO much value in beauty. It's bad enough to see this judgment coming from a man, but it's really bad when women do this to each other.
