I always wondered about why they didn't have children. I knew they had horses and thought maybe they just didn't want children because of their careers. My mother read recently that his wife was unable to have children, but that they had wanted them. I applaud them for having a strong, lasting marriage. I always liked Patrick Swayze's movies and acting. It's nice to hear from the people who worked with him on The Outsiders that he was a nice, genuine guy. I think his ability to be a great actor and have such a long career stems from that and being focused on his job and not the spot light.
Remember the Saturday Night Live skit he did with Chris Farley where they were competing for a spot in the Chippendale's show? Hilarious! He also had a wonderful sense of humor!

Didn't they dance to Loverboy?

Out of all the skits I've ever seen, three stick out...Chippendales, any of the Jepardy skits, and Garth Brooks and Mango....

And any SNL show thast Alec Baldiwn was ever in. Him and his salty balls....

Wasn't he also in a movie called Kin or something close to that? Had Helen Hunt and Liam Neeson in it...I liked that movie too.

I think the word you're looking for is 'ditto', not diddo....
Legion69- On the planet Andromeda, the correct word for "ditto" is "diddo". You are talking about a person that speaks Tjuanese. It is their native language on that planet.

May your case# always oh well 100%!!

I feel a great loss in the passing of Patrick Swayze. He
was a regular guy who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He fought a courageous battle against the disease that took his life. I feel priveleged that my path crossed with his. He was a gift to us that we were
not allowed to keep for long. But we have a legacy he left in film for us to enjoy. Rest in peace Patrick.
Yes, I am from Tulsa. I grew up living two blocks south of Crutchfield Park. The park where the fountian in "The Outsiders" was built.

It was a great story, we weren't making fun of you. It was reduntant for the writer of the article to say you from Tulsa everytime they quoted you.

Thank you for sharing your story. Feel free to elaborate more if you wish, I know I'm interested in knowing more.....

I'll venture that many don't know Patrick's nick name was 'Buddy'. He gave me a business card with that name on it. The reason was about a photo I have of him. He gave me the card at the premier of "The Outsiders" in 1983. I also got a napkin from Tom Howell with his phone number.
I had given Tom an 8x10 photo
sitting in the make-up chair, made up as if he had been in a fight. A young lady talked him out of the photo. He gave me his phone number because he wanted another copy. This took place at the premier also. I have so many memories of events during the filming of this movie. Including Robb Lowe, Matt Dillon and Ralph Macchio. I wasn't around the sets when Diane Lane was on camera.
I must end this now, as this is not about me, but it's
about Patrick's memory, or
'Buddy' Swayze.

That's really awesome. I was/am a huge fan of the movie and was going to go to the re-release of the film at the Circle Cimema, but I came down with something and had to miss it.

Again, thank you for sharing your memories with us and giving us another view of Patrick Swayze. Maybe on down the road you could come back and share with us more about your experience on the set of the Outsiders.
