He seemed to be a good guy... I loved Dirty Dancing and Ghost. I think what I admired most about him was his commitment to his marriage in this day and age they were married for 34 years. He will be missed!

I really enjoyed Patrick as Orry Main on the large TV production North and South in the 1980's I believe. I want to buy that series. It is an all time favorite of mine.

After watching any movie he was in, I always felt better for it. He was'nt a "superstar" but he did'nt need to be. He made an impression on me.

You are right you don't see many actors either staying with their spouse anymore for that long. He must have had a lot of morals about himself. Does anyone no why they didn't have any children???

I will miss Patrick, but at least he's not in pain anymore. Roadhouse was my favorite, but there were so many more good movies from Red Dawn to Ghost. Rest in Peace, Patrick!

I think the word you're looking for is 'ditto', not diddo....

I always wondered about why they didn't have children. I knew they had horses and thought maybe they just didn't want children because of their careers. My mother read recently that his wife was unable to have children, but that they had wanted them. I applaud them for having a strong, lasting marriage. I always liked Patrick Swayze's movies and acting. It's nice to hear from the people who worked with him on The Outsiders that he was a nice, genuine guy. I think his ability to be a great actor and have such a long career stems from that and being focused on his job and not the spot light.
