Having a hip replacement surgery can be very critical especially with reports that certain devices are defective and may cause severe health complications. For instance, ASR Hip Replacement Recall was implemented by manufacturer DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., a subsidiary company of Johnson&Johnson. The recall was done because of the various complaints of patients and doctors about it. Actually, its manufacturer is currently being charged with a number of lawsuits because of the damages the device caused. With claims for compensation piling up globally, DePuy should pay attention to these the hip replacement problems experienced by its patients. A hip fracture is a serious injury and complications can be life-threatening. Surgery is usually the answer to repair a hip fracture, although recovery often requires time and patience. Remember that before you start taking any medication or undergo any treatment, make sure that it is doctor recommended. It is important that you go through a medical check up first to determine the proper medication you should take. If the medicine prescribed doesn't seem to take its effect on you, ask your doctor for an alternative one. Hip fractures are not that common mainly because the femur bone is quite very strong. It is the largest bone in the human body and it withstands daily wear and tear. A hip fracture may occur by sever trauma like from accidents or falling off a high place. Another reason is side effects of some drugs like Fosamax. It has had its share of lawsuits since it was made available. You could read more about it here http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com .
